Thread for those beautiful creatures...
I'm really tired of reading that all those creatures suck in the way they look like. So I'm using this thread to mention the creatures that look better than before or look very good these days. So here's my list:
-dwarves (I adore their blue and silver harnas)
-titans (They look much stronger)
-nagas (I like them being bold and gold!)
-white tiger (They just look great)
-Thunderbirds (just plug them in the plug socket and FREE electricity, very handy!)
-cyclops (they've never looked so good...yep gone are the days of cyclopses wearing skirts and looking like balerinas with one eye!)
-imp (very big improvement, sad though finding them in the wrong place...sob,sob,sob...)
-bone dragon (unbelievable)
-black dragon (unbelievable too)
-arch angels (very very unbelievable)
-all the other haven-creatures (like their new outfits, except ballista, dunno but that's wrong, prefer seeing the griffin instead)
-nightmares (very cool, and I like the way they lie dead on the battlefield)
-hydras (I don't see what's wrong with the missing legs, snakes aren't supposed to have feet, so the hydras should be happy to have two!)
-mummies (very nice)
there those creatures are great! and i'm sure I forgot a whole bunch of them who are awsome. Notice that I didn't include any of preserves creatures, well, allthough I really like preserve or rampart, I can't say they look better than in previous games. But having compared everything with eachother, I conclude: 'Magnificent job, NWC!!!, my congrats'

I agree. The majority of the creatures looking way better in HoMM4 than they did in HoMM3 + Cool new creatures (mantis, nightmare)= excellent job artists NWC!

hmmm ... I can still hear myself complaining about the previous versions of HOMM.
When playing HOMMII I really missed some of the creatures from HOMMI (to be honest I still miss those purple dragons ). After some time I got acustomed with HOMMII creatures...
HOMMII versus HOMMIII:
More of the above .. at first I thought those creatures "sucked"... now I don't even want to with play the HOMMII creatures anymore.
Carefull extrapolation of the above leads to ....
Yep. In time will all come to appreciate the HOMMIV creatures..probably even more than the HOMMIII ones.
But for know the HOMMIII creatures rule and a lot of the HOMMIV creatures suck big time!

Preserve artworks...
-Sprite (green on the icons, but great)
-Wolf (awsome)
-Elf (looks okay, but ears should be visible. The shoes looks quite funny too...?)
-Satyr (looks cool)
-Waspwort (doesn't look enough like a plant, hope it's fixed)
-Unicorn (golden mane is missed. The new version fuzzy mane nearly replace it)
-Phoenix (artwork not detailed enough, I think. But it looks cool so far)

I wold like to add some:
-Devils(weird isn't always ugly )
-Ice Devils/Demons (They're slick)
-Agree with all that was said about Heaven
-Golem dragon(though lots of you hate it in the game he still looks cool)

The minotaur looks really big now...You know that the "real" minotaur was half god, so he shouldnt be as small as he used to be. Great improvement. The Satyr looks really cool. Its also from the greece mythology, to be exact from the greece forest god Pan. I cant wait for the game anymore...

They're great now !!!
They were the ugliest and most ridiculous creature in heroes, and now they just look as nasty as they should always have.
I love hydras too, efreet and tbird are great as well.

I agree, 'cause in HoMM III their "look I'm flying"-hopping made me laght.
It's good that they're mean now, not miserable.

The only creatures I do like in hmm4 is nightmare and that new beholders. The others, some are stupid, some seems to come from a bad scifi movie and most of the creatures that returned just looked better on heroes 3 or heroes 2.
The creature I hate the most is that half legged Hidra. It is really stupid, the unlegged version of heroes 1 looked better then that handicaped thing. They used to be one of my fave creatures in heroes 1 and 2, and even with the legged version of 3 I liked them, but this new one are way to stupid.

Here are some of my creature opinions:
Sea monster:Very very nice...pity you can't use them
Ice demon :Strangely likeable
mantis:good indeed
I believe all creatures in HOMM4 have improved in apperance.

Ok, I saw a pic of that 'ice-demon', and wow, I really like that creature. I kinda hope there will be other element-creatures too. This creature is definetly my favourite one so far!

Why.....
Why every body loves beholders so much? I like them.. but not as much as you guys. Didn't you all know beholders should have those extra little eyes that the evil eyes use to have.. I wondered why they didn't put that into the homm4 models.. hmm Strange.. New creature creators? Atleast i think it are different people. The ones that made the homm3 creatures and the ones that made the homm4 creatures. I wish that the Homm3 creature creators made the Homm4 monster skins aswel..
