About the Speed Deamon and The Hero

For those who play combo (Speed Deamon/Clan and The Hero/Clan)
can they play as Necromancer (for us who are Necroma)???

And another thing is the "timer" set on hold now in time limit games, or will the clock still be ticking???

of course, if you're playing a combo game, you play your philosophy, so clan/hero as necroma, means selecting necromancer town when starting.  Of course, you don't pick the hero though, that is set to random.

About your second question, I don't understand.  1 minute time limit speed deamon for example, is as it says, 1 minute turns set on the options.

Well what I meant was if you are in a battle will the timer be set on "hold".... But I just tested it.... lets say you choose 3 min. time limit... and your battle takes longer than 3 min.... when the battle are done your turn ends......

yes, exactly, timer continues as you battle.  That is why you do all your town builds and movement first, then do battle.  It will not quit you while in battle, but after.

Can you add an option in reporting to beable to play/report

Hero/Speed/Clan game. etc..

wo-hoo!

This is great news! I have looked forward to this Hero games, as it eliminates some of the increadibly time-consuming micromanagement that makes some of the richest (and most fun!!) maps almost unplayable. I would for instance not dear to start a "normal" game versus sylvan on Battlezone with the players who develope 2-3 or more heroes, as I think you could easily have 1 hours turns with sprites and all, very hero getting 3-4 battles first turns..

"Hero" though will be great on that map! It is not that it is wrong to develope more heroes, dont get me wrong, but I have so very limited gametime that now I can get more interessting games.

Hero/Speed should also be a good combo, Speed without "Hero" sounds a bit unwise to me.

can't just have so many free points going around everywhere.  Just the fact that you can play hero or speed for clans was a decision to raise hero/speed activity.  But combining two subtourneys is a very bad idea, and won't happen.  Play one or the other.

Hey, there's an issue with necromancers that came up yesterday, when i played a hero game vs cycleguy.
I've edited my map, Dead Man's Lake, disabling taverns and removing prisons, but it turns out that Necromancers cannot build vampires without tavern. I tried to get around it, but no such luck.

I'm not sure about other towns too, I can only tell that dungeon is all ok without tavern.

But maybe this is actually a good thing (yeah, right), supposing necro is the only one having such problems, i mean, they rock in hero mode anyway, because of not having to get back to town for fresh troops.

Whad'ya think?

As for necro I agree its fair with no vamp build...it's much more difficult in final battle but it does weight out the fact they dont have to return to the caslte for fresh troops.  I dont know if any other casltes are affected like necro either.

well when i played hero i didn't disable tavern... just trusted each other on not buying.  But both ways work.

Ahh but the difference is that you can retreat from battles to tavern. I thought 'hero game' wasn't supposed to  allow retreats. Correct?

Agree!!! I think that if you play "the Hero" no retreat should be allowed....

there is no retreat fools.  If you lose your hero its over.  I lost my hero game to a stack of hydras, I either had to win the battle, or forefit.

I'm quite sure, hell hounds couldn't be be built without taverns, unless they changed it in a patch.

He-he by any chanses, can special maps appeared for Hero Tourney???

Seems need prebuilt lvl 3 and 4 dvelvings to Cease "tawern problems"

Seems too good play for Hero for Haven (Main hero anyway need to visit otwn for training troops in most cases) and worst for Dungeon

I think for all hero participants should be created a special MOD, that will change "building order" for some towns. Than before every "The hero" game, that mode will be placed in Maps folder and removed out after the game. I asked russian community how to design such a thing, but if anyone able to make it himself - just do it and give us a link.

I really don`t see the problem here. So, you have a tavern - but you are NOT ALLOWED to use (recruit hero) it, aint that the easiest thing? Prisons, taverns etc are nogo - noone needs a mod or special maps to understand that?

Or do you guys think that everyone cheats? If people are cheaters, and retreat or something, they have no honour and they are the ones losing. In my book anyway... Can`t build everything around avoiding cheaters - they will find away anyway, and I do not think there are many around in these H5 days... For the paranoid it is just to check number of heroes in tavern every single day
