Help! Script program is needed!

I have Blade/Erathia combo at the mom.

I have extracted in the "Heroes3/Data/H3sprite.lod" the ".DEF" and ".SMK" files into 2 different directories and viewed them with defviewer.

It seems the ".DEF" files are scripts for geometry of all objects and models in the game and the ".SMK" files, as i have been told, are files in smacker format...

Now in Heroes3/Data/H3bitmap.lod naturaly are bitmap models, those i don't need too...

What i need are scripts where creature statistics are written.
Where are such and what program to use to edit those scripts?

(If you name a program please link a download thumbnail)

You dont need a "script", though there is a config file.

It is in .txt format named crtraits.txt under H3bitmap.lod i think (anyway it is in one of the lods, and there shouldnt be many of them.) So, just search for crtraits.txt.

You don't need any programs except the one you already used to extract smks and defs, hope this helps.

Thank you! It was in H3bitmap indeed, not in H3sprite.

It was easyer than i thought it would be...

Glad to be of asistance.
Happy editing, and don't forget to put the file in your data folder to take effect.

There is one more thing. IS There a way to compress the .txt files back in the .LOD? I mean, after the editing it works, when the .txt files are placed in Data folder, but that means it is a mess. I'd like to compress them back and replace with old .txt.

There is a way.
I will upload the scripts that return the file into .lod but cant do it now. They are prolly already posted somewhere but i cant search for them now. (I'm too lazy)

But having the file in data folder has its advantages, like being easy to delete it, or move it for one game then puting it back.

There is a bad thing concerning the commands in the scripts.

For example when i change the values in the creature stats (crtraits.txt), it works, however, if i edit something else, let's say in secondary skills, (sstraits.txt), it does not work!

For example if i change the value of expert mysticism to regenerate 30 points per day instead of 4 it still regenerates 4!

What's the key when some scripts work and some not?

i don't think you can change that in sstraits...

You prolly changed a number that means something else,... number of regenerated points is not available for change. perhaps a chance that the skill will be offered at levelup.

However im talking this out of memory since i dont have the file ATM.

Well, if someone here remembers where to get the program that compresses the .txt files back to .lod, please respond.
