HOMM3... the old crew...
Hey everyone, Hopfully some people that I knew from HOMM3 as lastplace2, are still around..
insead of me naming everyone I knew, because I'm sure names could have been changed, hopefully you remember me (for bad or good reasons), I would like to see where heroes has been going.
But, first I'd like to say WOW, to Vesuvius.. I can't believe this is still going, and I can't tell you how many memories your site brings back... oh and ves, maybe you can give me back my Old name of lastplace2, even though it seems to have a bad rating, I'd like to try to bring that back up.

Hey Lastplace, of course I remember you... and I just missed you in the chatroom yesterday.
Yes, like I promised nearly a decade ago... I never planned on quitting as long as homm exists. To be honest, I think homm5 is the best of the series, just that peoples' tastes change, peoples' lives mature, and with games like WoW out there, a lot more multiplayer action gets 'taken' from the homm community.
Add to it that the UBI rooms are user-unfriendly, and the initial launch of homm5 multi was horribly buggy. Consider this: the first 5 months of ToH homm5 had 200 games, the next 5 months 1400 games.

Ha, of course you remember me... hopefully not infamously for my forum posts in the past... but anyway
Looks like you are a man of your word.. and thats very impressive, but I'm not suprised..I remember the impact "simyar only games" in the zone had on my friends and I..if it wasn't for your website, heroes would not have come this far, thats a fact..which is still the reason I think you deserve to actually be a part of the game development.
You're right about everything you said... except, I still don't think any game comes even close to Homm3, the simple graphics, but yet the complexity of game with freedom to so many creative strategies is what made it amazing, like chess?..Now the series seems to just want to make it look prettier, I don't need 3d graphics or have to constantly move my battle screen around to get a good view of something that heroes 3 let you do simply. Although I didn't give it a full chance, its just because I don't think it deserves it. maybe you like the game just because Homm4 was so bad, anything that succeeds it will look like a masterpiece
