Are you like trying to get QP's or something?
These kinda things have been done before, and have gotten QP's, so I am just curious

I didn't do that for QP.
I just thought that this forum needs organized thread with list of all the contests of HC.

It is an interesting idea...
The first short story one has ended btw - I am compiling a directory for the short story contests, like I did with the ICTCs, which is why I asked Milena to reveal the authors - thanks Milena  .
Do we think as a community, that all competitions should be held in the Colesium - that is the superheroes one should be moved here - how about HC's got Talent? - There are a lot of 'unofficial' contests {no prizes} in the Tavern.
The ones on the HOMM boards too? - This was interesting.
This isn't an index for the Colesium, although I can see it could be useful.
Should we suggest now that all competitions be held here - and links be put elsewhere to advertise them when they are still active, rather than the other way around?

My thought was that when people hear about a new contest, they might come here, to look for it.
Organized list of all the contests might help them, don't you think?
Eventhough not all the contests are in this forum, there should be links to all the contest here.

I'm still working on a vision for this forum
I'd love to be able to use subforums, but don't have that luxury - I am trying to use the stickies to create a makeshift subforum list.
How about you change this thread to list active contests only, and I'll sticky it and change the name to "Active Contests" or something, otherwise we are just becoming a forum of indexes

Yes please - and if you want to keep it updated with any HOMM board threads that you notice that would be great. Probably delete the 'fun' Tavern ones too {Geekiest Joke} I might ask to have the Superheroes one moved here...
But!
Remember people... for something to be a contest - you need a judge/s and some kind of a title or a prize

Perhaps you can categorize them, like you have done now, but keep the 'inactive' ones here, just so people could hopefully join (providing the author of it is still posting), and perhaps it can get revived again.

I'll update the list.
And the thread "Weekly Library Questions" isn't very active at the moment, but I think it will be soon.
If after a while I see it doesn't, I'll delete it from the list.
The same thing about "Grand Opening - LRH HOMM3 tournament!" thread.

Hey, GL, didn't you just have this list by the forums, like:
Tavern
Other Games
Age of Heroes
???
If so, that could be a better layout, as you can list all the contests which are in their respective forums.
Sure, you can just link it, but it might be better if you did it this way.

Yes, but sometimes there are endless contests, that their creator forgets they exsist and leaves to die at the darkness.
Eventhough those contest haven't finished, we can't really call them 'active'.
