Hmm, no replies 
I've thought of some by the years...
When I was smaller, I drew a Barbarian-Food faction. 
It's in the mountains and they are barbaric and the units are kinds of food. The thing I remember most is the unit Mad Cakes lol. It sounds different in Latvian, but you probably don't wanna hear that! There were also other creatures, but I don't recall them. I have the drawing somewhere..
And the second one is about 9-10 months old, it's the Crazy faction.
I didn't finish it, well, I didn't work on it at all, I just got the idea and thought up a few units. One is a guy with a shovel. He could be called a Shovel Killer -> Shovel Maniac. 
Another guy is a mad man that panics and shouts, that gives Enraged to the other Crazy units. I think there were some more, but I've forgotten them.
Hasn't anyone else thought of a funny faction?

Race: Drakel (a red dragon, withotu wings, moves like a Fire Dragon, as small as a human, don't breath fire bzt has got tail)

how about this for a HC town.
level 1: the N00B's
those who don't really know the ropes around the HC.
level 2: wastelanders
guys who hang around in the wastelands and make, really, rather pointless threads. shooters who lob tins of spam at people
level 3: the gamers
experts with tactics and analysing games, often giving games developers a run for their money. they live in the temple and other games. able to perform sneak attacks.
level 4: the creators
those who spark brilliant ideas, but often fall flat. inhabit the altar and the coleisum. spell casters and flyers (?)
level 5: the real-lifers
those who discuss political, social or current affiars, be it in the outside world or in the HC. inhabit the tavern and the other side. dispellers.
level 6: mods
shooters, throw -qp, with a powerful silence ability. inhabit the mod squad HQ.
level 7: ADMIN VALIEREY
too powerful to comprehend.

Ashrah, specialty - Model (inspired by, well, what's there to lie about, her looks (some parts more than other), decreases the unit training cost, also all fanatical atheists gain additional attack)
Redsoxfan3, specialty - Gamemaster (inspired by his incredible act of stubborn dumbness; read - quitting as a mod - all RP players gain additional movement speed and defense)
VokialBG, specialty - GoP Overlord (inspired by his skills at modding, as well as the really cute Bulgarian flag in the sig, all game-modders gain additional spell points and defense)
Pandora, specialty - The Lone Good Mod (basically, she is the only person around devoted to modship... increases morale and luck of all friendly units)
Vlaad, specialty - Comics (great comics please the gods. friendly units' morale cannot get lower than 0)
Svarog, specialty - Animated (due to being raised from the dead personally recently, gains a bonus to the animate dead spell)
Campaign heroes:
Valeriy, specialty - Admin (under his leadership, mods actually MOVE. when not under his leadership mods have a speed of 0.)
Angelito, specialty - Quizzer (due to his bunches of quizzes and stuff, gains a bonus to mana regeneration. No. Don't ask me why.)

confuse enemies with 1337speech, but also reduce the morale of all other creatures in your army because they feel ashamed of the script kiddies
- tier 2: Giant Meatball
Pizza leftovers, unwashed dishes and cold coffee are glued together and form a meatball raised by magic. Can't be targeted by normal humans because they are too disgusted with it.
- tier 3: Hacker
Vulnerable to light. Can drink coffee to increase their initiative by 200% for 2 rounds, but afterwards the initiative drops to 10% until they drink coffee again...
- tier 4: ?
- tier 5: conspirator
A small group of the geeks, which is corrupted by power and tries to take over the world.
- tier 6: bsd demon
This is one of the gods the geeks worship.
