A few things to ask. What are the limitations in lvl and what are the caps per stack? Also what artifacts are available, can you simply use anything? Or get any skill/ability you wish? What of the primary attributes, do you choose them yourself or are they calculated randomly according to the xp?

What do you mean not possible? As a warlock player you should know better. Even without luck implosion kills about 24 so with your resistance its 18 i got 7 stackes so i got time for at least 7 implosions . 7*18= 126 . If i get some lucky implosions i will kill much more.
And this is all not even counting my own units.

Yeah, but you didn't
Sheesh i dunno why but my editor crashes each time when i try to use duel preset option.. anybody got the idea why?

Very fun to toy whit the duel editor! Just can't wait for the crack. 3 Points for Expert Enlightment might not be good choise but i wonder does boosting you primary skills work? Well ofcurse it should work...

weird, everything runs smoothly for me..
feluniozbunio; ye I know warlocks rule this game, ofc I just mean that klaus+max palas backed up by ring of speed+staff of netherworlds and with antimagic protections boosted to oblivion is just ridiculous
Gonna do some tests today, with uber warlocks vs. imba klaus, we shall see..

Hi!
I've been away for a while, but simply LOVE designing new duel heroes.
Where is this patch/editor? Is it part of the 1.5??
(I haven't downloaded that one as I am waiting for 2.2)

Hey, this editor is based on GROWTH
This is not fair. As you know, the growth system is not fair amongst tiers! So, this duel editor allows you to create 6 ArchAngels in a stack, and only 42 Assassins (an example). They are MUCH weaker So, people will only concentrate on level 5-7 creatures
I was hoping for a more 'power' based algorithm and not stupid unfair growth
This Duel Editor's mechanics suck

While the imbalanced heroes are fun, I was hoping we could come up with some community rules governing how you set up a custom duel hero. This could make for some strategic duels. You know, for example limiting the number of spells, just coming up with a further template more restrictive than what the editor can actually do.

OK, i downloaded the patch - And I'm IN
I just took my new Zoltan vs Vittorio and it goes pretty well
But, as mentioned it is a problem with the stack limit.
Also with Enlightenment - you get new stat bonus every time, so for instance the mana varies from game to game
This must be dealt with.
Nice that there are limits for how much you can buy for before going up to the next "class" - almost like boxing weight classes
(Like Ossir and Deleb are heavyweights)

yeah, we should gather some experienced duelists like dfortae and try to create a balanced bunch of heroes.. it would be good if they were based on real game (so, no quadruple angels growth and similiar nonsense!)

Ok I made one but it is certainly not balanced! The idea is Vinrael with bas enlightenment->intelligence, exp warmachines->triple ballista, adv destructive->master of fire/ice, exp avenger with all perks.
Army: 2 stacks of master hunters, 2 emeralds, 2 silver unicorns and one ancient treant.
Artifacts: Dragon Talon crown for the ballista , tunic of carved flesh and evercold icicle for the imbued spells, ring of vitality and dragon eye ring for the hunters, boots of magical defense and shield of the dwarven lords for protection(no frenzy) and naturally golden horseshoe!
Ossir wasn't that hard to take down though my units generally die fast. For spells I used the destructive up to lvl 4, cleansing and raise dead just in case something goes wrong.
Let's see what else we'll create! Where can we find the heroes in the editor, can they be modified?
Edit: Deleb is easier to kill than Ossir

I thought Master of Fire/Ice/Storms didn't work on imbuing

This growth based system realy lacks... apart from the reasons stated above this system immiediately puts necro in disadvantage, because rasing creatures via necromancy is not taken into consideration. It is necromancy that gives the hero an edge in normal games - even if it is limited raising extra liches, wights or wampires may turn the tide... Here necromancer is left only with the basic growth of his somewhat weaker troops.

Master of ice certainly does, it bumps the unit back in the atb bar. Both with ballista AND deadeye shot.

I tough Sinitar would be best choice for Duel hero when i gave it insane 27 Spell power, Slippers, Phoenix Feather Cape, +5 luck, soldiers luck/ warlocks luck, 40 Blackies but still it wasent enough againts Klaus.
Max initiative boost to Paladins and Warlock hero dosen't even gets it's first turn:
Even if Warlock gets turn now it's too late...
Or yet even worse! Mr initiative hero! Whit Initiative arties ofcurse
No magic schools needet!
Battle againts deasent, fast opponent Ossir:
Oh yeah they did fight back but Dragons had 20 initiative and hero +25 attack skill.
Might heroes are clearly winners in duels when there are initiative artifacts. Jhora has little more initiative but still not enough. Perhaps best casters are Rangers whit Avenger+Pendant of mastery whit Implosion or Meteor Shower.

It seems like people having really fun making crazy heros
The duel generator couldn't have come on a better time as I was just finished designing my new deul heroes.
What I try to do is to create duel heroes that are balanced regarding to the standard game and add more flavour to the duel list.
All of the newly created have become far less powerful as the stack limit bugs my whole plans (get rid of this somone - please!)
And the Enlightenment bonus creates a variable bonus, making the hero vary in stats (for instance, I have experienced Lucretia with 45-90 mana) This should also be remedied in the next mod hopefully.
I have made such lists for all faction with the 5 remaining heroes.
Also, I have made a list of "Ultimate Heroes" lvl 30 all possessing the ultimate skill
For instance my necro-list looks like this now (Zoltan shown earlier)
Kaspar

120 Skeleton Archers
90 Plague Zombies

Endurance, Deflect Missile, Teleport Righteous Might,
Dark: (Mass) Decay, (Mass) Vulnerability

War Machines: None
Spells
-------
Light: Cleansing
Dark: ALL
Destructive: Fireball, Cicrle of Winter, Eldritch, Ice bolt,
Summoning: ALL - wasp swarm and Earthquake

Concept: Wrings spells, and gives -5 Luck to enemy with max Luck
Strategy: Good Defence in bad luck for enemy (-25% Damage), 25% MR. -2 to enemy Morale
Arties: Cloak of Mourning, Cursed Ring, Boots of MR, Golden Horseshoe
War Machines: None
Spells
-------
Light: Cleansing
Dark: Slow, Decay, Slow
