General ToH question?
For as long as ive been in this tournament I should know this but how long does this season last
How soon before the end do the tournaments close and assigned games begin for finishing the tournaments
I have to know because ive got almost 250 games in now and I think it will take another 250 for me to become a Lord lol. Basically I need to know how long ive got to get good at this game 
Thought this might be a good thread for anyone to ask any questions they have been wondering that aren't on the FAQ's page.

Hehe don't worry, you are not the only one who doesn't know answers for those questions
Ive had like 50 games so far and i think in next 10 i can make to the lords.. unless i will play some more games with Betruger , than ill need more lol

I'm playing for almost 9-10 months now.
Lord or not doesn't matter i guess. But i will surely treasure it if i made it there again
I just wonder when the clan playoffs will start ? Or is there one?

The free challenge of the Clans is open now, SQ and I are talking about the part of the tournament when free challenge is closed and Vesuvius pairs up clans, speed and Hero players in non-free-challenge matches.
And I have no doubt you will be a lord in less than 10 games, you are an excellent player who im still trying to think of a strategy to beat, I will someday lol.

This season is quite a unique and 'extreme' situation. Usually in homm3 it was every 9 months or so a new season would start... then in homm4 activity was lower, and so every 12/14 months or so a new season would start.
This homm5 season has had even less activity, and not to forget that the game actually became playable/active starting in October. For the first 5 months only 200 games were played. For the past 6 months now its been more active...
A seasons' end usually is triggered by having 8+ Emperors, which then leads to a clan finals, and a caesar finals, for about 2 months. Then its a new season once the winners are declared.
Right now, I see none of this happening for a while... long while. And anyways, I am keen on seeing what happens during the 'summer slowdown', then the increase in activity after the expansion is released in the fall. If anything, don't expect a seasons' end until early 2008.

Refugee camps do NOT give fortress units? i mean like never? or is it only my impression..

Dwarfs are great in building houses. so they don't need to take refuge anywhere

Ya, They never do, hopefully they edit that in the next patch after the new faction comes out.
Thanks for the info Vesuvius I agree it will be awhile before we get 8 emporers, im almost willing to bet I can name who they will be though hehe.
