James Bond 007
Seeing from the Guess the Movie thread there's quite a few people who've seen enough Bond movies, so I decided that there should be a thread for them.
Anyone who's seen all or alot or some or at least one of the bond movies can post here (I say that like I can stop you, I can't, but just as a general rule. I don't actually have the power to see whether you have seen a bond movie and prohibit you from the thread, that'd be hard. Not me personally anyway. I'm just speaking generally.)
Since I'm a fan of quizzes (quizes? quizi? a flock of quiz?) at the moment;
1. What is your favourite Bond movie?
2. Who is your favourite Bond actor?
3. What did you think of Casino Royale?
1. What is your favourite Bond movie?
In order I'd say:
1. Goldeneye
2. Casino Royale
2. Diamonds Are Forever
3. License To Kill
4. The Man With The Golden Gun
5. Dr. No
6. Goldfinger
"Half of everything is luck James."
"And the other half?"
"Fate."
Mostly because I used to play the N64 game so much when I was a kid And it has the great Alec Trevalyan
2. Who is your favourite Bond actor?
I think Sean Connery was good, and Daniel Craig. The one's who don't make such smartass one-liners (including Timothy Dalton) are generally better, Roger Moore got on my nerves. He was more of a pompous 50 year old englishman who went around having sex with everyone he laid eyes on Which is the essence of the Bond character I guess, but still.
I think Sean Connery played it well and I prefer his accent
Daniel Craig just kicks ass.
3. What did you think of Casino Royale?
I thought it was awesome, taking a more serious turn. It's the first official movie that doesn't follow the trend of the others (intro and theme song etc), and it's a completely different timeline, so it's a little different.

Best Bond film:
1. Goldfinger (Gerd Froebe was awesome )
2. Diamonds are forever (those 2 gays made my day..)
3. Thunderball (the remake "Never say never again" was even better)
Best actor:
Sean Connery without a doubt
Casino Royale.
Was an ok movie. Story was low, too many faults. Action was quite ok.

It was awesome! Especially for those who've ever been to Montenegro... When I saw the ultrafast trains and luxury and the incredibly kind service in the movie I just couldn't stop laughing for 20 minutes. They probably mixed the place up with Monte Carlo or Montevideo or something (following the logic that every place with "monte" in its name has to be luxurious )
Anyways, I didn't like the actor since he had the same :/ face throughout THE ENTIRE movie... He makes love to a chick, his face is :/. He's gambling at the highest stakes, his face is :/. His car explodes, his face is :/. He chases some guy over some building site at the height of like eleventy gazillion miles, his face is :/. Though sometimes he changes it to :|.
Sean Connery is still my favourite.

Poker face
lol I've never been to Montenegro but I'm one hotel doesn't define a city
But Casino Royale had poker, guns, fast cars and girls (although the bond girl was average, the first girl was so much better)

My fave Bond movie was "A View to a Kill". This was because it had the all time greatest villain actor ever, Christopher Walken (Max Zorin).
In fact, I think Christopher Walken should play all the Bond villains. They could just give him an eyepatch or a scar or a mustache. He could switch fake accents. And then instead of saying "We meet again, Bond" at the end of the movie he could say it at the beginning.
LOL at Baklava's post btw

best movie - Die another Day; A view to a kill
best actor - Pierce Brosnan(Moore wasn't bad either, not really a Sean Connery fan, Timothy Dalton and the others mmm...oh and the worst choice= Daniel Craig)
About Casino Royale - nice action, not much of a poker game, horrible casting.

Come on people, how could we forget Jaws?
In the Spy Who loved me and in Moonraker (get to hear him speak at the very end ).
Roger Moore is my favourite, and my favourite bond films are:
The Spy Who Loved me, For your eyes only, and Moonraker.
Goldfinger, and The man with the golden gun are also very good.

A view to kill was good apart from that freaky woman May Day
And Die Another Day was a joke I mean come on invisible car.. Too far, Q. Too far.
Moonraker made me laugh. Ok jaws is cool but at the start he falls out of a plane with no parachute and survives. It's a stretch, but you can ignore it. Then he gets slammed into a wall by a runaway cable car. Alright, he's a tank, he can keep moving. Then he falls from SPACE, and survives. What??? lol

Funny how everyone minds that yet no one pays attention to the fact that James is technically about 90 years old... And undergoes a plastic surgery or something every few movies, which would explain his constant face-changes (I mean in appearance, not emotions... Daniel Craig has probably heard of emotions somewhere but he sees them as simply something that happens to other people)

1. From Russia whit Love
2. Goldfinger
3. The Spy Who Loved Me
4. Octopussy
5. Casino Royale
6. Golden Eye
Sean Connery is best bond but Roger Moore is also great. But no one says it's like Connery: "Moneypenny, won't you ever believe me?"
Casino Royale was good movie except the terrible ending. Poker games where nice alltough Bond hands where too easy to tell. It would been clear as a day... "Ahh.. Bond checks he must have 3 Aces or Straight Flush. Fold. "
Never liked Brosnan or Dalton but i think Daniel Craig did good job as bond. In opening we allready see it's more brutal bond what we have used to see and if he would make those one liners or smiley faces it wouldn't work. This movie had darker tone than older bonds and i think this refreshed style worked for the movie.

My friend says that he heard that the reason bond is so old and different is that he's actually a different person (in the movie) with the generic code name "Bond" to keep him anonymous
I promptly punched that person

Yeah From Russia With Love was good.
I'm not a fan of Roger Moore though lol. He's too much of a pompous old englishman. Dalton showed the more serious side of Bond which I thought was good, Brosnan was still a smartass (not as much as Roger Moore who cops about 30 one-liners a movie) but was a good actor and played the part well.
As for the end of Casino Royale, it ended abruptly because Bond-22 is going to be the first ever bond sequel and carry on from Casino Royale
I didn't like how they rebooted the whole timeline though...
And with bond hands lol he has like pocket aces every hand, he must be good at poker... ?

That's your opinion. Since I made no comments about yours...seems fair that you don't either.
or I could say Sean Connery was lame in Dr. No (I don't think so, it was just an example)

Diamonds are Forever and the Man with the Golden Gun are my favourites, the former for probably the most underappreciated Bond villains ever seen, Mr Wint and Mr Kidd, especially with the coffin scene.
Sean Connery and Roger Moore, for me, defined 007, but that Daniel Craig guy would one day be up there, and the early signs have shown.

are you reffering to the tide-up to the chair scene when he is pounded with the wet rope(that must have hurt)?
if not refresh my memory... cause nothing else comes to mind
if by violated you mean raped then ... I don't seem to remember that. (maybe because it's not in the movie or I was drunk when I saw it)
