Orb of Inhibition
What does the Djinn do? And how do you free it or whatever? I admit I don't exactly understand it...

You mentioned the djinn, so I assume you are talking about WOG. So you should post this in the WOG forum.
Angelito, can you move this in case I answer wrong?
I haven't player WOG in a while, but I think you just equip the orb at the end of the week and it happens automatically at the start of your next turn. If I remember right, the orb is the one that gives you a choice of giving a creature a special ability (for example no-retal attacks). It will always be a creature in the army of the hero carrying the orb. And the ability will apply to all creatures of that type, not just yours.
You have a choice of doing it. If you do it, the orb disappears. If you don't do it, you get to keep the orb and will get another chance next week with a different creature/ability.
Also, I think if you don't use the special power of the orb it just acts like a regular orb and prevents spellcasting in battle. So if you have a might hero playing against a strong magic hero, you might be better off just keeping the orb.

Well actually, maybe he means Genie, since he might be used to homm5 and will call them Genies.
BTW, are there even Djinns in WoG?

Yes, in the orb. Um, maybe it's a genie, but I thought genie and djinn were the same thing.
edit:
Just looked at wikipedia:
Genie is the English term for the Arabic Ìäí (jinnie). In pre-Islamic Arabian mythology and in Islam, a jinni (also “djinni” or “djini”) is a member of the jinn (or “djinn”), a race of supernatural creatures. The word “jinn” literally means anything which has the connotation of concealment, invisibility, seclusion, and remoteness.

Lets just say work on your attack & Def Skill.
Maybe throw in a little Magic & knowledge to throw off your oponent.
Usually if you see someone cruising towards your land with 25-28-3-4 you most likely might know he has the orb.
Just make your oponent do all thatmagic gathering work for nothing & kick the crap out of him lol.

My apologies. I meant the Orb of Inhibition, off WOG.
It says in the rumors that if you release the Djinn in the orb of inhibition, he will grant a boon (blessing) to your troops. I don't understand how to release it, lol.

You don't have to actually do anything except equip the orb on day 7 of the week. It will happen automatically when you end turn. The breaking of the orb is just text that comes up.....try, you'll see.
The thing is you have to remember what the boon is. For example if it gives your minotaur no-retal ability, a week later you might not remember it when you're planning your battle. Or worse, you might not remember it when the enemy has no retal.
