H3MM: War of Tomahaka
I started creating this map on October 2005. I was working on it for two or three months.
Now I decided to finish my work. The main project was to fix all the English mistakes. My English was awful back then, and the map had been full of writing mistakes. I'm quite sure I missed some mistakes, but the most has been fixed.
This map is my entry for the "First official map design contest". Wish me luck.
______________________________________________________________________________________________
The War of Tomahaka:
Heroes of Might and Magic 3 Multiplayer map, 5 players (with Allies).
Without expansions. Size: 108X108. With undergroud and a grail. Verison 1.1.
The Story:
Over all the History books, written a lot of things about the empire of Tomahaka. It has been the stongest empire in the whole ancient world. It had been always united, but then started quarrel between the city of Jerdys (Tower) and the city of Erdillys (Rampart) about the regime of Tomahaka.
After two weeks, while the underground volcano Giordes was erupting, an assassin from Jerdys killed Erdilly's king. Mosr the citizens of Tomahaka escaped to the underground caves (that half of them was burnt by the lava of Giordes volcano, and their abandoned towns have been cuptured by the creatures of the area.
Erdillys citizens are determined to beat Jerdys, and Jerdys want to kill them before they do a serious damage to their kingdom.
Adnisa (Necropolis) was the ally of Jerdys, and Consor (Castle) the ally of Erdillys. The citizens of both cities escaped to the underground caves from different places. They are blocking each other exit. The problem is that they became enemies, when their allies became. Adnisa's citizens settled on the underground city Rushumyno (Inferno) and Consor on Forldon (Dungeon). Their old abandoned cities were captured by the local creatures.
However, there's another side on this war. The subterranean gate near Consor had been flooded, and Consor's citizens pumped the water to the sea. The area of the city Drowza (Fortress), that was a beautiful tropical area, but very low, was flooded, and became a huge swamp. All Drowza's citizens are very upset and want to revenge who made this damage.
Giordes underground volcano is circled (red). The only entrence to the Eye of Dymort is from there. There's a brodergruad (silver) in the road that leads to the volcano, and it will be hard to find the tent.
The special thing in this map is the ability to choose the difficult by choosing which side to play with. It's not one of the multiplayer maps that all the sides are in excactly similar position. Some would call it inbalance, but I think it's more interesting this way. You can play with the blue player, on the beginning, and then try the Orange. The game will be completely different.
Red: easy
Blue: easy-medium
Tan: medium
Green: medium
Orange: hard
Tip: read the signs! Some of them aren't useful at all, but many will give you a lot of important information. For example: if the sign says "Go only on the road" there are probably ambushes on the sides. Most of the signs tell the number of the road (means nothing) and the direction, what can help you to know where the road leads to.

Good work, GL.
Some feedback:
The good: The adventure map is very rich and looks polished with an eye to details. The overall concept and the short introduction contribute to the immersion.
The bad: spelling and grammar mistakes, little or no challenge even at 200% (OK, I should have read that Red is supposed to be easy, but still), possible balance issues (powerful artifacts), several objects are unreachable, some quest huts have no quests (use Tools > Validate Map).
Suggestions: Call this v. 0.9 and fix a few things, then submit it to Celestial Heavens and map4heroes as v. 1.0, including the "read me" file.
Verdict: recommended

I fixed all the spelling mistakes I've found.
It's supposed to be easy with the red player. There are some suprizes and ambushes on his area, so it's not too easy. It's getting harder as far as you go with him.
Most of the artifacts are randomal. If you got many powerful aftifacts, you are just lucky.
Thank you for showing the Validate map. I fixed all the problems.

Okay, I'll send it to Celestial Heavens and map4heroes.
Edit: I made a readme file and sent it.
