Public Internet Connection Problem......Help

I am at the hospital today with my dad he is getting his hip replaced and it is gonna be like 5 hours, and I wanted to play heroes.  They have public wireless internet access...and I can connect to msn and internet, but it wont let me connect to ubi or hamachi... any idea why?  Or any idea what I can do to make it work.

well is a firewall at least you can enter to the firewall configuration will be hard to do something about it
