Creature dialogue
Some of the creatures/units in the game say stuff when they're either celebrating or casting spells. From the top of my head I am thinking of druids, vampires and mages.
Peasants say "wha" or "huh" whenever you hover over them, but what are the rest saying? Is it in their own special language, if so, can anyone translate?

Wizard heroes say: Yay!
Mages say a spell when they cast.
Vampires say: Wahah! or something.
Druids say (If I hear it correctly) Ah, come instead.
Elder druids say: Aaaaaaaah!
That's all I believe

So... Now we have "wha", "huh", "Yay!", "Wahah!" and "Aaaaaaaah!". I'm not sure those really count as dialogues, but whatever you say
The mages say something like: "*mumblemumblemumble* AAALUM!!!111" as far as I've heard

Vampires (or some undead...): "Our mana strong!" or "All mages fall!"
Mages: "mumblemumblemumblemumble or the torah!!!"
Griffins: "We won, which is a victory for us, and means we survive, but we won by killing, which is bad for our shiny shiny karma. Oh well, the hero gives us fish now." ~Babel fish translation of SCREACH!

Nice translation of the griffin Daystar, though I always thought that the griffins fed on deer and other game than on fish
Anyway, I realy doubt that it was planned for any battle animation to have any earthly language in them. The units are more likely to be cheering. As for the Vampires, I know they don't realy sound like cheering, but I always figured that they were hoarse. I can't imagine that living of blood for several centuries can be very good for your vocalcoards.

Really nice thread, dont let it float away
I like the vampire speech after a successfully killed stack, when the odds are at your side or when you win. Its just cool, wonder waht they say indeed! And which language they speak in are closes, french, german, romanian, transylvanian?
I think the vampires says: " Yet again the mages fall from our bloody hand "
To german: Ich denke, daß die Vampires sagt: "dennoch wieder fallen die mages von unserer blutigen Hand"
Hehe also the funny murmuring and laughs the rune priests and patriarches give off are also good.

When we're talking about creature sounds...
Does anyone else think the sounds the gargoyles make are basicly ripped from H3 wyverns ? They sound almost, if not exactly, the same!

Well, it's obvious that they eat fish. They live in the Haven right? Well, Havens have this big lake thingy in the middle of their towns, and fish live in lakes. However, I never see anyone fishing, because all Haven people are vegetarians or something because the only food source is farming. Thus, in order for the lake not to become overpopulated, they must eat the fish. A

Perhaps, but the body of water in the Haven town is more of a moat than an actual lake. Also fish have the tendancy to keep their own population in balance as quite a few fish are predatory. The griffins could also be fed cattle, since there tend to be quit a lot of farms around the Havens. And Farms tend to raise cattle be it to sell, eat or as a laborforce.
Still I doubt the Griffins actualy live/roost in the Griffin Towers and Bastions. There does not realy seem to be a lot of space there. It seems to be, at least to me, just a conveniant place to call/feed the Griffins.

I think that the griffin tower is like an "stop" for them or something like that.
When they are needed they are called to the gryphon tower and rest there for some days and then fight.
