Help with chapter unlocking in HoF.
I've been playing through this one since it took me a bit to finish up HoMM V alone, and after finishing up Ylaya's chapters and it shows the Orc involvement, it never unlocks the chapter after stating I've done just that. Is there a file to just unlock them, a modification I can do to the files or am I in need of something different?

Do you mean that you want to unlock one particular campaign? I think I can make a mod to do that. If this is the case, which particular one needs unlocking? (Bear in mind I have not played through the whole HoF campaign.) I'm not sure but I don't think it's possible to unlock specific maps.

Hang on though, I thought the Dungeon chapter was the last...? That's what it looks like in the data files.

That's a little perplexing then. Where do the Orcs come into play with the campaign? After completing Dungeon's chapter, it showed a scene in which you enter the realm of the Orcs, and it's just over past that. There is however, a chapter with no voiceovers or real goal with Academy after that, but once you complete that part the credits roll. Is that all you see in the data files in terms of available chapters as well?

Wait, you actually play into the Orc lands? This is unprecedented. In the end of HoF, you see Realag getting orders from Tieru to go to seek the orcs, then Biara being evil with Alaric. And then it ends...what do you mean you play an academy campaign? Confused.

I believe you misinterpreted something as orc involvement .
There is no orc campagin. that comes in the next expansion. unless your A-playing a custom map or B- some files got messed up in your computer, soem that dont seem to exist i cant possibly understand how this happened.

Indeed, for it seems I did in fact read too much into this as well. I do appreciate any and all attempts to make sense of this, very much so. I may have purchased this ages ago, but I've just recently been able to fully enjoy the game on a day to day basis, this is the one set of forums I frequent now to satisfy my need for any and all things for this game. Again, I apologize and thanks to each of you.

Would someone just clear up for me, exactly what campaigns are in HoF? Eternal-Merlin, do you still need something, or not? :confused:

I thought I needed something, it just turns out I'm just in need of the next expansion pack to actually see what I thought was going to appear in HoF. lol
