Mindreaver then goes to a quiet corner to meditate and clear his thoughts, he will probably need all the focus he can get.

In Space (outside the ship).
Malice is having a ton of fun blowing up enemy ship after enemy ship. Even the fighters just can't seem to keep up with her. More, with her draining power, she has found that she can drain energy from targets to her mech. However, even with that she is getting really tired. There is just so many of them. Then the unthinkable happens. Steam gets hit, and disintigrates in a flash of light. Without somebody to cover her, she knows she is going to have to fall back.
Aboard the freighter.
Stargazer looks at Problem Child. "Can you use your music to bring the ships together faster? I think with Mindreavers help we can do the rest, but we need to make it quick!"
Aboard the other vessel.
"Hot dang! We have fighters! Apparently this little ship is big enough to carry at least two. Who wants to volunteer to fly them!"

Varjo who had just been sitting at the table not eating anything sprang into action.
"Well about time we got to action. This was getting a little irritating. If you don't mind Mindreaver I'll be boarding the other ship. I'm an excellent pilot but I'm sure our hosts can manouver this vessel. I should be handling the weapons at the other ship."
Leaving not much time for answers Varjo starts shouting in the comm:
"Shyft! Where are you? Get here you lazy bastard!"
Shyft appears next to him.
"No need to shout. I'm not some kid you can order around. Where to?"
"Get me aboard that other ship where the all weapons are. Malice is gonna need someone watch her back.
At least it's better than sitting here doing nothing."
"Done deal", Before Shyft has finished the sentence they are already at the other ship.
"Fighters? Where? I'm going."
Looks like instead of a back-up Malice will get a wingman.

"CON FOUNDIT! WHAT'S ALL THE RUCKUS???!!!" shouts Old Man grumpily as the ships system flicker to life in response to the chaos.
After quickly catching up on what he missed, Old Man grumbles to himself as he depresses a button on the top of his cane. He begins to belittle the closest person next to him as his caddie begins to phase through the walls until it's in a room large enough to accomodate it.
"You know what's wrong with you kids?!" The familiar question signifies the start of yet another elderly rant. "You don't know how to stop an alien armada. Why back in my day, we used lasers and missiles. And they worked! We loved them! Look at me, firing lasers and missiles at the bad people! We didn't have any of this fancy music or giant robots to fight our battles. No sir! We had to fight with gumption and the sweat of our brow and ballistic warheads. Now let me show you whippersnappers the real way to defeat an armada!"
Old Man and Baskerville hobble over to the caddie and buckle up. After activating the phase shifters, the suped-up auto dries out of the ship and towards the firefight.
"It certainly has been a long time since I've used this, huh boy?" asks Old Man as he begins to press a complicated series of buttons. Baskerville is too excited looking out the window to even hear his master. The caddie starts to emit a strange sound as massive pieces of machinery begin to appear next to it. Wings, cannons, a cockpit, engines, and many other common features of a spaceship begin to meld together and in a minute, a gigantic spaceship is formed. Old Man smiles as he lands his car on top of the cockpit. The floor of the caddie opens up and the seats lower into the command deck of the cockpit.
"Now we'll show those punks how to handle an armada!" Old Man states proudly as he flies off to help Malice disrupt the attack.
"Give 'em Hell, boy!" A gentle pat on the head sends Baskerville's tail wagging as strange, metal wires erupt from his body and jack into the command console.
The dog barks merrily as he fires on the first ships in sight. Dozens of cluster torpedos fly straight into the onslaught.

Problem Child is releaved that help is on the way, yet he can't do anything with all this fancy equipment everyone's using. He prepares to sit in the corner feeling sorry for himself and takes out a new weed joint from his little machine.
"Can you use your music to bring the ships together faster? I think with Mindreavers help we can do the rest, but we need to make it quick!"
"I don't think so." Comes the reply as he lights the weed. "My music is almost all powerful on Earth, but it cannot travel through vacuum. I'm afraid that I can't really affect anything outside this ship and maybe it's immidiate surroundings."
Problem Child takes a deep breath, inhaling the soothing smoke. His eyes close as his concious slips away to hide from the troubles around him and let him rest as Varjo leaves for the other ship. The life-loving Highway Child comes in control of the body to fill the void. Suddenly, he opens his eyes and smacks himself on the forehead.
"How could have I been so blind? My friends, the answer is so simple! The universal solution to all problems! All we need is love!"
With these words the time traveller turns on his microphone and begins to sing:
"You cannot fight me
For i have the sword of hate
But one thing you can't see
My answer is simply
An impenetrable fortress
Of love ... love ... love ..."
As he reaches the last lines a castle shaped forcefield generates around him and starts to grow and grow until it is big enough to protect the whole ship. A slight smile appears on the singer's lips, but is immidiatly replaced by an impression of mental strain as a stray missile hits the shield. He contniues with his singing, slwoly, focusing on every note, straining himself to the limit. It is clear to everyone in the room that he won't be a able to hold for very long, but hopefully he will give the fighters the freedom of movement they needed to repel the attackers until reinforcement arrives.

The shield should hold until the cargo ship reaches the stealth one at least. Without shields, Brainchild does the only thing left, she cloaks the vessal. At least that is still working.
The shield created by Problem Child is up to the task of holding against any space combat. One minor flaw in the plan occurs to the others when soldiers start beaming aboard the vessal. His shield stops them from beaming them out into space, but doesn't stop them from beaming in. There are three major areas that need protection. The engine, Problem Child, and the bridge.
Meanwhile aboard the other vessal things are going a bit better. Cloaked the enemy doesn't notice them. They have a moment or two to breath. Shyft pops back over, explains the situation and offers a ride to whoever wants to go protect the ship.

The small fighter accelerates out of the ships hangar engines blazing just before it cloakes.
Varjo opens up the communications to Malice:
"Looks like were on our own. If you keep the frigates at bay I'll take care of the flies for you.
Let's roll!", with that he fires up the afterburner and spirales through enemy fighters leaving a dozen wrecked ships behind.
When speeding back to the fight Varjo sees a huge spaceship emerging.
"Brainchild do you read me? Whose side is that on?", The ship fires a volley of missiles that head straight into the fight.
"Never mind.", Varjo states as he pulls his fighter out and heads straight towards the missiles.
"Just tell him the next time he fires he could do it when I'm not in the middle of it. That way I don't have to do this again.", he shouts to the comm and starts spinning wildly evading the missiles while heading back to the groups ships.
"You know who the best starfighter in the fleet is?", he shouts while dodging the missiles. As the last missiles of the volley fly by him he confidently adds:
"Yours truly"

Liarron quickly considers going out in one of the fighters, and blow those opposing him to tiny bits, but gets an idea. He goes around, and checks what direction the spaceship he's on is going, about how fast it is currently moving, where the other ship is, and which direction and speed that one is going, if it is at all.
"Alright. I think I could do something about this. I'll need that Bear guy's assistance, though."
Liarron gets back to where he left Bear and Brainchild, and steps up to Bear.
"Alright. I need you to follow me. We're going to be attempting a little experiment."
Liarron leads the big guy to a point in the ship.
"I want you to run in that direction. *points in the direction he wants Bear to run* If I should tell you to run faster, run faster. If I should tell you to run slower, run slower. We will be running at walls, but I will phase us both through most of them. You will to run into one, however. You should be able to take it, I would think. Anyway, I want to use your momentum to push this ship."
Liarron jumps on bears back, and phases, and extends the phase onto Bear.
"Run!"
Bear starts running, and they phase through things. Speed adjustments are required, and Bear follows as ordered. They reach an optimal speed just before they reach the wall Liaron had planned for Bear to run into, and he jumps off, ending Bear's phasing, sending him right into the wall. Liarron hopes that this little experiment of his worked.

From the time the enemies begin to teleport inside the way seems clear: Stand one's position and protect Problem Child in the process protecting the ship from hostile firepower. Besides it's no use splitting up and end up surrounded without allies. Anyone coming within threatening range will receive phychic blasts - far from lethal but it should incapacitate targets for now and does not cause much mental strain.

Bear slams into the wall full force, causing the ship to start moving. Thanks to there being no friction in space, an object in motion will stay in motion. It is not any major speed, but it will help.
Over the intercom everybody hears a familiar voice. "I .. have a plan. You all need to evacuate. Tell Mindreaver I appreciate everything he tried to do. Tell him I relieve him of his offer to try to fix things. I am going to merge with the ship. Then I should be able to fix everything, without the parts. I'll only have a limited time before the ship's AI consumes me, but it should be enough. During this time it won't be safe on the ship, but afterwords it should be fully operational. If somebody who had mechanical knowledge had stayed behind, it could have been different. Now, we are out of time. I am locking onto your positions in the ship and teleporting you. God speed."
Everybody on the stealth ship suddenly gets teleported over to the cargo ship.
Out in space, the number of enemy ships is becoming overwhelming. They are pushing the protectors back farther and farther toward the cargo ship. More and more are arriving all the time. It's starting to look hopeless.
In the cargo ship. Ghost moves next to Mindreaver. "You can't let her do it! She'll die, just to buy us some time! Please, you have to do something, you have to think of something!"
For now the main areas are secure, but more soldiers are teleporting in constantly. The only good news is they are normal soldiers, and not yet a match for a squad of superpowered individuals. Soon the numbers will make that a moot point. It is starting to look grim.

Watching the scene intensify to unsatisfactory levels, Old Man presses a small button on the right armrest of his command chair. A small hatch in the floor begins to open as a lever rises, to be grasped by the bony hands of the elderly omnigenius.
Nine, massive, portals appear before the ship, pointing towards the onslaught of alien ships.
"Never thought I'd have to use this again." A tinge of regret crosses his face. He hesitates. "How many billions of lives...?"
Baskerville looks up at his master with his large brown eyes. The dog senses the conflict and just sits patiently as its electrical impulses fire off dozens of cluster torpedos and deathrays.
"I suppose there isn't much choice, old boy" he mutters to himself. With a frown, he depresses a button on the top of the lever.
On the other side of the galaxy, on nine seperate planets, generators of an unkown material buzz to life. Portals similar to those created by Old Man open up above the generators, swirling impatiently above the alien technology. Electricity surges through the machines, blasting the portals with an unknown energy.
"Baskerville, target the alien flagship and prepare to evacuate." The dog complies as it adjust the aim of the portals. Slowly the portals take aim at the alien flagship, or what appears to be the flagship, and Baskerville withdraws his wires from the command console.
A forcefield appears around the command deck as it begins to seperate from the hull of the ship.
"I really like this ship too. Such a waste."
Old Man pulls the lever back. The nine portals in front of the ship flare up violently as temporal energy streaks towards a single point in front of the spaceship.
"Time Eraser, fire!"
A stream of temporal energy burst forth, flying unerringly towards the alien flagship.

The beam hits its target, and a cascading effect begins to happen in the time stream. A few seconds later an enormous flash of light occurs and a time ripple flows out. Things start to change drastically, they wash over the enemy ships, the planet, and onward and outward. Past Malice and her suit, over the old man, and onward and onward. Soon, it has touched the whole universe, altering forever the very fabric of time.
Things settle, and the group on the cargo ship find themselves floating peacefully in space. The ship has vanished, and the people on it. Why they havn't is a complete mystery. Malice's larger Gundum seems to have defrayed the time rip, and all she has left is a space suit.
The cloaking ship is completely gone, not even Brainchild left. The old man still has his command chair, but for some reason it is not operating. Shyft teleports everybody back to the surface of the planet, but it has drastically changed. MEGA city is no more. For as far as the eye can see untamed jungle is all that can be seen. No electronical or mechanical things seem to be working. Something has drastically changed.
Appearing before the Old Man, Ghost confronts him. "What the heck did you just do?! What the heck was that beam, and where is everybdoy?! Where is Brainchild!?"

Old Man gives Ghost a regretful look for just a momment. Then an angry one.
"A 'thank you' would be nice, you ungrateful whelp." The elderly champion begins shouting and shaking his atmoic-cane in the air.
"THANK YOU FOR SAVING US!!! THANK YOU FOR STOPPING THE ALIEN ARMADA!!!" His shouting is a poor mask for his true feelings, as his complexion remains the same. Deep down, he already regrets having to resort to such action.
"I, I did what needed to be done. The aliens needed to be stopped and I stopped them.""
He grits his teeth, his cane falls to his side. Baskerville sits at his feet, quietly protecting his master. He reaches in his pocket and hands his dog a treat, which is eagerly accepted.
"Everything caught in the attack was erased. It's quite complicated, so I'll give you the gist of it. The weapon removed the alien armada and everything else caught in the attack, from the current timeline. That means there never was an attack; there never were any aliens. That reality is gone."
Old Man throws a small cube to the ground. It clicks as it's dimensions expand, forming a 12" x "12" surface. Four legs pop up from the bottom and a back rises from the seat.
"I need to sit down for a moment." He plops down in the chair as he lets the others contemplate the implications of his horrible actions.

As the group arrives to the surface, Highway Star passes out of extreme exhaustion, smiling as he catches a glimpse of the blooming flora around him. However, one of the advantages of having multiple personalities is that once one of them is out cold another takes his place. And so, just a minute later, Problem Child rises to his feet more or less rested. He looks around, amazed by the green jungle that surrounds. When the initial shock is over he finally manages to mutter one question:
"Is this... my time?"

Liaaron gazes around, at the trees around him. No building. Just trees. He turns back, and sees the old man just sitting about.
"Haha! That man has been more trouble than he's worth! He used up valuable time ranting off about some idiotic thing that wasn't needed, while I was attempting to see if he was hostile or not! That time could've been used doing something else more productive! Now, he decided to make a judgment call, that erased things from existence! And all his ranting about us young people! Heh. He's the one that needs the ranting."
Liarron laughs a bit more, then grins.
"This place does look better, though. I don't really care what this area is, but the color green is nice."
He goes off, checking the surrounding jungle.

Stargazer looks around. "No, we are in the correct time. Everything is just..gone. We need to find out what happened, if there is a way to fix this, and also to protect the species that the armada would have destroyed."
She explains the situation. Her visions sometimes do come in useful. Apparently the flagship targeted was the FIRST ship to ever use the energy draining technology. Since it never exsisted, the technology was never tested. So the armada didn't have to go out constantly looking for energy. Over one hundred planets with various ammounts of inhabitants were saved.
Unfortunately her visions are not under her control, and they havn't revealed how this changed Earth to how it is now.

"Dammit old man!"
A passing thought in Mindreaver's mind involves Old Man and an advanced case of senility but he can't really hold a grudge - the consequences of such an action are huge burdain for one's conscience without even adding the blame. He did what he felt was right. The illusionists's scowl melts into a calmer yet determined visage.
"Nevermind what's done is done, we now have to figure out what is going on in this reality and find a way to return to the previous one - alien threat or not we had a good chance to survive and an ally's helping hand."
"From the looks of it our planet ended up deserted anyway but that's something we will have to confirm. No time to lose, those able find some wood and set up a perimeter before it gets dark - Also I need some volunteers to scout ahead and hopefully find water sources. Varjo seems an ideal candidate and so is Purrfect that should move at ease in the jungle, anyone willing to accompany him? That said...Hey Ghost can you levitate? If you could get to a higher ground you could provide a valuable insight in the area's geography."
Afterwards Mindreaver goes to check with Stargazer. The irony that he is the leader of the world - as far as he can tell anyway - without wanting it or even having concocted a convoluted plot does not escape him.

Varjo checks his surroundings.
"Nice. Stuck in the middle of a jungle. Like I hadn't gotten enough of this back in Panama.
I'll do the recon but I'd prefer going alone with Lumi this time. It's not like any of you have experience from the jungle. I'll be better off alone.
Water won't be a problem in here. If you just cut these vines overhere..."
He rips a vine down from the trees but when reaching for his knife he notices it's missing. He reaches to his other knife in his shoe, it isn't there either.
When he notices that the last knife on his back is missing too a quick troubled look passes over his face but it vanishes as quickly as it came.
"If anyone sees my knives I'd appreciate it.
Anyway, just cut those vines. You can get a few mouthfulls of clean water each.
I'll be back in 24 hours.", with that he vanishes into the thick forest Lumi at his heels.

Liarron soon stops in his exploration of the jungle, when he finds a nice-sized tree standing around. Since he doesn’t have access to his guns, he thinks this would be a good opportunity to get some sort of weapon. He sticks his hand and arm through the tress, positioning his hand around the middle. After this, he starts to charge the tree, from the center, out. Once he feels he’s charged enough of the tree, he stops and flips back, away from the tree, and phases as a precaution. The tree blasts out, from its center, sending wood flying everywhere. A shard is sent right at him, and passes through, without harm. It continues traveling, and flies a foot or two above the remainder of the groups’ heads, and punctures another nearby tree.
“That was fun.”
Liarron walks around, picking up shards of wood that look like they would be good enough weapons. Either for melee, or to be thrown.

Darkblade quickly catches up with Varjo. "Oh no you don't. Not going to have all the fun." then like she was born in the wilderness she becomes very quite and stealthy.
Back at camp Stargazer is looking around deep in thought. "I .. think I can feel something. North. Something is interfearing though. It's giving me a terrible headache. I'll keep in touch with everybody. I'm headed that way."
