spoilers.. not that it matters, people will have taken the test by the time they read this anyway

I looked up some of the answers. Most of them require ridiculous trivial knowledge that no one in our generation would know.

88 books of the bible

I will never know that, will I ever care. Mensa can suck it.

I didn't know that and I got it...
It is dodgy though. It was made in south africa, what can you expect.

Yep. And the first one I saw was cents to the Rand rather than Dollar (this guy americanised it)

At first I was like
USF... united states of france? lol
And then I was like 13 stars on the flag? Wait a second theres more than that

Nooo!!! Spoilers!!

Anyway, I first encountered this kind of test in a 1991’s book titled “Games Magazine presents Will Shortz’s Best Brain Busters” and used it ever since for teamwork trainings. I never see it as an IQ test, under the condition that the questions are not trivias. What I normally do in those trainings is to ask participants to solve the questions individually, then ask them to form a group of 2 or 3 to combine answers. What normally happen is once the answers are combined, they complement to completion. Most of them usually yell out “Ah yes how could I miss that.” The morale of the game is this: those numbers aren’t new in our life, they’ve actually ever crossed our memory before at least once (again, trivia questions like the number of books in The Bible or culturally-related ones should never be used). But some people memorize better some numbers and other people, because having different perspective or life experience, remember better the other numbers. In teamwork it’s like combining different skills and experience from team members, rather than expecting all members to have uniformity in the way they think etc. Sadly, I’ve seen many teams prefer the latter to avoid conflicts and assume they can work better without conflicts. Conflicts are part of the game. Respecting differences is hard, but will be fruitful when can be satisfactorily managed.

In case some of you would like some more, here we go:

1001 = A.N.
200 = D. for P.G. in M.
1000 = W. that a P. is W.
40 = D. and N. of the G.F.

None of these is trivia. Feel free to discuss the answers, and if needing them from me but not wanting to spoil the others, just page me via HCM
____________
But now I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it.
