Particle Colors
I'd like to retexture some creatures, but I cannot change the colour of the particles. Some of them are coloured in-game, from the grey images. If I change this grey into something else, it will affect other creatures. I've searched the data.pak, whole Map Editor (with game editor option on) and HC Modding Wiki with no effect.
Could somebody help me with that?

That's not the main question, but ok...
You have to edit editor*.cfg in profiles folder. You have to set any other number than 1 in the setvar map_editor_mode = line. For example:
setvar map_editor_mode = 9
And now you can edit models, creatures, animations and other game mechanics from the editor.

The game editor allows you to edit the Model xdb files and such not acual models, there is a tab to load .mb files as I told you, but it doesn't work I haven't tried it in TotE 'cause my computer broke the same day they sent me the game . Dialog scenes can also be made thid way. (That's how I made them in ToK)
To colour only the particles of a specific creature you need to copy the dds's and xdb's and select those files in the effect file that's how it's done

Which effect file do you mean? And should I edit other files than *.(ParticleInstance).xdb?
I would be grateful if you could explain it on the example, ie. Banshee or Wright.

Thanks! I couldn't remember how to get to the advanced map editing functions. Now I think I can get to work on some homebrew mods.
