1. Variety of Towns - 9. Good enough.
2. Variety of Creatures - 9. Good enough too.
3. Design and Graphics - 7.
4. Balance - 5. A long way to go yet, through paths.
5. Enjoyment - 8. It's a heroes games. Great variety.
6. Upgrades System - 6. Just the basic. Nothing really new, just a new upgrade level for every unit...
7. Campaigns and Storyline - 5. I liked the history, but some maps are so boring - easy and a waste of time.
8. Singleplayer Missions - 7. I just think that computer ai could do really better in some situations
9. Multiplayer Options - 9.
10. Slowness and loading times' effect - 4. Bad, but thx god it runs fine on my machine
11. Skills and Abilities System - 8. Just great! But i feel sometimes that things we do through all battles should have some influence on hero stats, skills and abilities offered. I think that this is the best thing about heroes V when compared to previous versions.
12. Magic System - 8.

My rating:
Variety of Towns: 7 (they mention a few towns then don't put them in)
Variety of Creatures: 10 (gives you a feel for the race in just a few units)
Design and Graphics: 7 (the jump to 3D from 2D is a hard one to do, and it manages it.)
Balance: 9
Enjoyment: 7
Upgrades System: 9
Campaigns and Storyline: 4 (they tagged the story on as an afterthought, really. it isn't that engaging and i gave up with the singleplayer campaign after the second inferno campaign)
Singleplayer Missions: 5
Multiplayer Options: 10
Slowness and loading times' effect: 4
Skills and Abilities System: 10 (one of the best new features.)
Magic System: 8
AI: 6 (provides a challenge for the single player, but the campaigns just make it so hard.)

Quote: wait this isn't a poll
Since there are 12 categories, and 10 options for each one of them, forum poll won't be very efficient. You are supposed to mark H5 according to the categories. Mark from 1 to 10 in each one of them. For example, if you think there are not enough towns, you can mark 5 on "Variety of Towns".

1. Variety of Towns - 10. Eight town is just perfect. Everyone have their stregnthness and weakness
2. Variety of Creatures - 9. Verfy good too
3. Design and Graphics - 8. Ok but could be even better.
4. Balance - 7. With zounds of pathes itīs become even more balanced than H3
5. Enjoyment - 7. While itīs HoMM game but somewhat I still enjoy playing more of H3. Maybe because of musics and more tips to read(going to camp which gives you +1 at)
6. Upgrades System - 8. Same as H3 but added more upragdes give lotīs of more stragedies choice
7. Campaigns and Storyline - 7. Fairly good.
8. Singleplayer Missions - 6. Computer and itīs "tactics"...
9. Multiplayer Options - 10. Best area in this game.
10. Slowness and loading times' effect - 6. While it takes a long at least you have something to read during campaing missions.
11. Skills and Abilities System - 9. Very good. Now every factions have unique abilities
12. Magic System - 8. Everything here is ok except I wish there could be a little more spells.

1. Variety of Towns 8. Would have been a 10 if they included the Nagas.
2. Variety of Creatures 9. Besides the lousy names for some creatures and implementing some bonus abilities to certain creatures, I think this is pretty darn good.
3. Design and Graphics 10. No doubt one of the best looking games ever. Better than Warcraft 3 and that's saying a lot.
4. Balance. Dunno. I don't know what the big deal everyone makes out of this balance issue.
5. Enjoyment 8. Addictive.
6. Upgrades System 9. Besides some creature skill issues and naming, good stuff.
7. Campaigns and Storyline 5. Bad ending, especially that lame group laugh reminded me of some dumb sunday morning cartoon. The dialog and storyline were pretty cheesy. The game got a little monotonous after a while. Characters were pretty 2 dimensional. Could have used some professional story tellers to fixed this problem. Maybe some of the blizzard ppl like Chris Metzen.
8. Singleplayer Missions 5. As above.
9. Multiplayer Options. Haven't tried.
10. Slowness and loading times' effect 3. Irritating.
11. Skills and Abilities System 10. Much better. At least now I can get the supers. And that building that lets you unlearn skills for new ones...priceless.

@blister
the memory mentor is kinda cheap imo( " my build sucks and ill get beat so go delete some skills lvls/abilites and get the same # of lvl ups as i deleted" )
thats kinda stupid really, why not just have racial + 6 skill slots lol..................( so u cant have everyting u want )

Memeory mentor is good because of those maps that are extra-super huge that you get to level 30+ to.
6 racial spots would actually make it tougher to get stuff like the ultimate. Theres already times you get offered less then 4 skills. you often need specific perks more then everything on expert level

Variety of Towns: 7
- 2 more town will be better(Elemental town and a water town). The good point is that the existing towns are unique.
Variety of Creatures: 8
- lots of creatures but few neutrals. There is too mush free space on the maps IMO
Design and Graphics: 9
- very nice and detailed, the only problem is that some of the graphics can't be turned off for faster gameplay.
Balance: 8
- A lot of work is done here but the mess up in Necro was bad thing.
Enjoyment: 5
- Somehow the game is not "just one more turn" this time. CIV IV and Galactic Civ II are more enjoyable.
Upgrades System: 9
- It's good to see inovation here.
Campaigns and Storyline: 3
- Simple and not very detailed. Can be done a lot better( like Sandro's campaigns in Homm3 SoD).
Singleplayer Missions: 2
- There are too few maps and they are not designed good
Multiplayer Options: 10
- The mutli is really on focus.
Slowness and loading times' effect: 4
- when playing its ok but loadings are very long. If i try to play with 7 AI's i loose most of the time to wait their turn
Skills and Abilities System: 9
- Very nice , just need better ingame help i.e. i hate to open the manual every lvl up but its needed.
Magic System: 8
- can have more magics - the lack of speed slowing and boosting spells is not good(i understand that such will kill the whole balance but thats not reason to throw them fully)
AI : 0
- Thats the worse part of the game - Awful cheating, stupidness, bugged AI's almost all of them, No strategy at all. That's why I play only vs myself on single. And that's why i didn't play homm5 for 7-8 months before ToE.
I can't undestand how AI in CIV 4 and CivGal 2 can be challenging even without handicap BUT here in Homm5 with terrible cheating the AI can't do anything.
Overall: 4
IMO it's bad only because of the AI. If homm3 the AI was n times stupid, in homm5 it is n^n times more.
If i don't count the AI somewhere over 7.

I. Variety of Towns - 8 (only because of the specific skills and the barbarians being in at last)
II. Variety of Creatures - 7 (too many humans, elves, dwarfs and orcs, but they get an extra point for giving abilities to everyone)
II. Design and Graphics - 6 (i disliked the art style long before it was applied to H5 and i've never been a big fan of 3D because it usually doesn't age well)
IV. Balance - ? (haven't played it enough to make any real judgment)
V. Enjoyment - 6/7 (just doesn't feel like a Heroes game to me, but it's gotten better with patching and expansions)
VI. Upgrades System - 6 (never been a fan of upgrading everything)
VII. Campaigns and Storyline - 5 (the characters are stupid and the story standard fare presented badly)
VIII. Singleplayer Missions - 6 (i hate the fact that we're back to waiting a few weeks to get enough creatures for the final fight and the AI could compete in the Special Olympics)
IX. Multiplayer Options - 8 (some nice extra options)
X. Slowness and loading times' effect - 5 (there are better looking games out there that load better)
XI. Skills and Abilities System - 7 (great concept, could use some streamlining and less one time bonus abilities)
XII. Magic System - 7 (needs more spells)

ultimates are good but really who cares, i never usually try for ultimate. it takes too long and isnt really worth getting to me.
too many stupid abilities and stuff that i dont like to use and i prefer playing academy so, even with all magic schools being cast with omniscience, casting all schools is a lot of battle time and not as effective as youd think, or do u forget the other player has a turn too . and if u want to cast other magics ( assuming with academy omniscience again ), just use the new cheap memory mentors to change ur whole hero with just a little gold per skill/ability. If u want ultimate, buy an expnsive pendant or possibly find one on a map but otherwise i dont bother to get it through skill wheel.

Partial Results of the Poll
Variety of Towns: 8.4
There are many opinions here; Some say it's great as it is, others say that we need more faction(s), and some say there are a bit too much. However, it seems like almost all of the players are pretty satisfied with the current number of towns.
Variety of Creatures: 8.6
Most of the people are very pleased with the variety of creatures. Infact, a lot of people gave it 10. The only complaint that I saw again and again, is that there are not enough neutrals in the game.
Design and Graphics: 7.8
A lot of the players agree that generally the game looks good with 3D graphics (especially the towns' view), but many don't like the designing style of the game, or the animations.
Balance: 6.9
The general opinion is: some towns are stronger than other, but the still is still more balanced than eariler versions of HOMM. Just a few of the players that the balance HOMM5 is terrible. Most of the players gave the balance 7.
Enjoyment: 7.5
It is agreed by most of the participants that HOMM5 is quite enjoyable, but not like other versions of HOMM.
Upgrades System: 7.9
There are so many different opinions here. Many players love the concept of alterative upgrades system, but others think the alternative upgrades are sometimes not balanced with the regular upgrades, and it is clear which one to choose.
Campaign and Storyline: 5.7
It seems like the players aren't too exited talking about the campaigns. They don't really like the storyline and don't really enjoy the missions, that seem to them too easy or away too difficult. On the other hand, they say that the campaigns and the storyline are much better on Hof and TotE than in the original H5.
Singleplayer Missions: 6
Most of the players found the singleplayer missions quite boring. They also agree that there are not enough singleplayer missions.
Multiplayer Options: 8.4
Most of the players agree that the multiplayer options are an excellent part of the game. However, they say that there are some bugs, and the duel heroes are not always balanced.
Slowness and loading times' effect: 5.1
This is the weakest stop of the game. It works really slowly on most of the players' computers, and the loading times are long and effective.
Skills and Abilities System: 8.1
Most of the players like concept of the skills and abilities system a lot, some think it's the best skills system in Heroes so far. On the other hand, they think it's a bit too mixed and randomal, and there are some balance issues there.
Magic System: 7.1
The players are pleased with the spells and their effectiveness, but they think the variety is low, and more spells are needed. Another point is the imbalance between the spells and the magic schools.
Overall (so far!): 7.3
These are only partial results. Please participate to affect the full results.

1. Variety of Towns
-The things have gotten better with the two expansions and the number of towns is currently satisfying. 7
2. Variety of Creatures
-I still think there are too many units similar, like the elves. I wan't to see more beasts and such based on the mythology such as Spinxh, Basilisk and Chimera. 6
3. Design and Graphics
-I like the grahpics, they are good for games like the Heroes, still more blood and gory animations would be nice to see. 8
4. Balance
-Balance can always be fixed I think and overall it is decent. Except with those dwarves I find their runes pretty much overpowered. 7
5. Enjoyment
-Despite the flaws I have enjoyed this game a lot with my friends, we have already played countless of games. 8
6. Upgrades System
-I think this makes things complicated. Would have liked to see more factions than new alternative creatures for the excisting ones. 5
7. Campaigns and Storyline
-The campaign was poor, thankfully the game doesn't focus on it. Boring story, many flat characters and horrible voice acting. 4
8. Singleplayer Missions
-They are okay. 7
9. Multiplayer Options
-There are many multiplayers options like the Random map generator and duel mode, good. 8
10. Slowness and loading times' effect
-I can live up with them but it's odd that you may get slow gameplay even with a powerful PC. 7
11. Skills and Abilities System
-Some skills and abilities are pretty broken and/or useless. Examples: Leadership and Undead? The skill system is nice but needs much more fixing, there are many cool and unique skills but the whole Ultimate-thing within the skill system is just a joke. 6
12. Magic System
-Even more spells wouldn't hurt this game, great that ToTe adds a bunch of them. I also like school-system, it's better than the elements-system in H3 now you can predict which kind of spells you are going to get with each magic school. 8

3. Design and Graphics 9
if the shadows looked better 10. Doesn't need to look much better.
4. Balance 7
Academy and necropolis, youch.
5. Enjoyment 9
Rarely tedious.
6. Upgrades System 8
A few bad choices here and there.
7. Campaigns and Storyline 8
Zehir ftw!
8. Singleplayer Missions 7
Too easy or I'm too good.
9. Multiplayer Options 4
10. Slowness and loading times' effect 7
Rarely experienced. Some of them are regressions from HoF like the harmful touch delay.
11. Skills and Abilities System 9
12. Magic System 8
Wish they had used a bit more imagination and I specially hate the stronghold replacements for magic spheres.

]1. Variety of Towns 10
Lots of towns, This is definatly one of the games that not only has several factions, but actually makes each especially different
2. Variety of Creatures 10
The game has very very different creatures, almost none of them are generic and similar to each other. and theres lots too
3. Design and Graphics 8
Not something that id scream "WHOA" at but still damn nice and pleasing to the eye
4. Balance 8
Considering 8 factions it could be much worse, overall its quite ok. but trying to do something like playing dwarves on a XL map against a inferno player.. Well
5. Enjoyment 10
Really great, I really loved the game and it was very addicting!I hope to see more games like this, and this game made better! Tote was especially fun and captivating!
6. Upgrades System 9.5
Could be slightly better, but overall a really well done job! only a few alternatives are "really" useless next to their counterparts, And some just seem so but may unlock hidden potential eventually
7. Campaigns and Storyline 9
Original games was a little long winded, But i really liked it. Izzie was a bit annoying and the original game suffered from some poor voiceacting but ocerall the actual concepts and maps were really well done.
8. Singleplayer Missions 6
Not much was done with the originals, And the ones in TOTE are nice but not that great. They dont really match up even to campaign maps which seem more dedicated
9. Multiplayer Options 8
Multiplayer is ok. Bit slow sometimes but not as bad as some games overall.
10. Slowness and loading times' effect 7.5
Mostly not too bad with my computer, I usually read a few lines from my book while waiting for the really long loading times.
11. Skills and Abilities System 10
Not at all clunky and overpowered and strange like the heroes 4 system. I mean Grandmaster nobility+ mining anyone?
12. Magic System 8.5
Also not so clunky as the last system. But then it could use more spells

H5 Oppinion
1. Variety Of Towns 10/10
I would lie if I said I'm not satisfied with the number of towns, each town is unique, cool and playable (not like Inferno in H3 )
Of course, there is always room for more towns, but like I said,8 factions is quite enough
2. Variety Of Creatures 9/10
Again,no complains here.I gave it 9 because of the lack of the neutrals, but neutrals aren't really that important single or multy...
3. Design & Graphic 9/10
All those who say that it's "childish",take a look at Pit Fiend and Pit Lord and say that again IMO that's almost the best creature I've ever seen! Or the look of fireball and meteor shower...They blew me away. Not to mention Implosion X_x
9 because of really "stupid" designs like peasant, zombie who are actually not that bad compared to gargoyle Quite opposite of the Pit's,it's ugliest design of gargoyle ever.I saw Disney cartoons with better gargoyle design
4. Balance 6/10
Simply, game is NOT balanced, some heroes are stronger than other, some upgrades are simply better(remember fire breathing hound,it has same stats as Cerberus + breath attack ) Not to mention ultimate skills, compare ultimate luck and unstoppable charge
5. Enjoyment 7/10
One thins is spoiling enjoyment: it takes forever to load! I have a rather good graphic card, put details to the minimum and game still runs slow...Being a H3 player,it is a enormous difference, because in H3 game runs smooth as it can get,and H5 is quite tiresome after a game of H3...
6. Upgrades System 10/10
The only thing that puts H5 in front of H3 is this, brilliant idea which implements dual build from H4 and upgrade system from H2 and H3.The best thing in H5
7. Campaign and Storyline 6/10
Bah,it's hard to be original these days and this is proof.Rather shallow story with outcome clear from the moment you started playing. What's really annoying is when heroes talk they cast spells which IMHO looks absolutely ridiculous
*Note that I haven't finished original H5 campaign so this mark isn't final till I play HoF and TotE campaign
8. Singleplayer Missions 5/10
There are just to little maps...Random Map Generator is awful because it creates unplayable maps (my computer load them 10-15 minutes)
9. Multiplayer Options 8/10
I've played only hot-seat so I really can't say much...I'm gonna start playing online soon so I'll get better look at this
10. Slowness and loading times' effect - 1/10
Can I give 0? I wrote about this in enjoyment already so just this - IT STINKS!
11. Skills and Abilities System 9/10
Another thing this games shines are the skills. Many, many interesting skills makes the game simply more intense and interesting
However there are(as always) some useless/crappy ones that should be changed
12. Magic System 8/10
It's quite good,at least better than in any HoMM game, but it's still rather simple.Along with little spells this is the side that should get complicated as soon as possible...
That's it! Excellent games with some minor mistakes but overall good
