Anyone who is not Romanian can post here about anything he knows,heard...about my country and the people (good or bad doesn't matter, I won't mind). I'm interested about the way it is seen from outside the borders.
Bucharest is called the Paris of the east.

Yes, Bucharest WAS little Paris.
Now it's Oprescu's playground (the new mayor). I hate that person.

why? o_O
Better than that retarded previous mayor, but that's how it seems from outside, since I don't live in Craparest. Maybe from "inside" it is different.

He is an old, drunk man. I think Videanu was better (the previous mayor). This new guy is suspicious.

To be honest - I know nothing about Romania at all
When I was (very) younger I used to think that Romania was a dark, haunted, scary and evil place were monsters lived in the forest and that there were old ruins and castles everywheres and werewolfs lurking in the woods.
I also thought the main population was undercover vampires

before romanians heard of bram stoker's novel, nobody here made any connections between us and vampires, we had other kind of myth creatures like zmeu, balaur, varcolac, strigoi, muma padurii but nothing like a vampire; this proves how the western conception can turn our own conception around

Since when was the Iron Guard a fascist movement? I know some historians mark them at fascists, but their goals were different, actually.
"legiunea, capitanul si arhanghelul" <--- their motto.
I will not say they were all heroes. But Antonescu surely was. At least MY hero.
