Many people have said exactly the same things to justify the opposite And to be honest I agree with them, apparently it's up to one's taste.

The magic rocks esp late game! I do agree about the better creatures in homm 3 harpys in 3d would be awsome!! and the evil eyes were awsome. ahhh sweet times plus the interior was much darker and gloomy I liked it alot and hope that hommVI will add more than just lots of dark elves to the dungeon

I like Dungeon because it's a verry interesting rae to play with. Man, these Dark Elves have stile.


EDIT: Why do people ress ancient threads (man, dinosaurs were in kindergarden when this thread started), without saying anything new.

Well, I like this faction because of the hit & run concept, I like those blood furies coming from nowhere to slice the ennemies and then going back to hide ; also its wicked spells in late game and the proeminency aspect of artifacts equiped on the Hero that really play an important part imo.
This town is quite a challenge to play for me, cause I don't master it like some players here can do, so that increase the pleasure in case of victory. But I find that the lineup is a bit underpowered, with Hydras lacking initiative while they could be a pilar of this faction if they were a little faster. I must admit I have some difficulty to synchronize the moves of my units and rely to moch on my Warlock.

I like Dungeon Creeping that's great fun. Since Stalkers and Furies enable this, I voted Creatures.

i miss the medusa's but otherwise, heroes v dungeon > heroes 3 dungeon, imo

is it just me, or does anyone else want their to be a peace treaty between the dark elves, and regular elves? i would just love it if they'd be friends

but no seriously, 2 things i find very disappointing about the heroes v dungeon:
1) how underpowered the shadow witch/matriarch is! (i haven't played tote yet, so i can't technically speak for the mistresses)
i think the spells they are given are sufficient enough, but you would think in a town thats all about destructive magic they'd have given them some destruction spells (to better play off the elemental vision), or if not give them something more powerful then slow, or vulnerability! (i'll keep confusion and righteous might though thnx)
2) there should be a way for your hero to regain mana in combat! if not through some mana channel by the witches/matriarchs, then they should be able to sap some of the mana when an enemy hero casts a destruction spell!

i dont know though, those are just *my* ideas...

gosh am I the only person who liked hommIII dungeon better well I always liked it that the armies were made up of violent creatures and the order was kept by the heroes. I really like the dark elves but they put them everywere in hommV. I also liked the heroesIII town design better. oh well.

I like dungeon for everything. I think that the dark elves fit in the dungeon. but I agree with people. I think that there should be all the creatures from the Heroes of Might and Magic 3 dungeon to. but maybe in another faction, called beasttown maybe.

anyway I voted spells because I think that Dungeon's spells are the best. But everything else with it is good to.

No you're not. I personally prefer the H3 Version, but I really like playing H5 Dungeon more...Simply cause it's easier to blast(AI) enemies into oblivion.

- Its the one and only faction, which each skill are useful (Samiekl, but very true)

I've been in situations where I had to use Dark Ritual. I'm a day's movement away from an enemy base, and my mana is low so its convenient in those times...

Well for the last few weeks I've been playing on a skill build running just Advanced Irr. Magic -> Empowered Spells, and only taking Elemental Chains if I have no choice, cause I think Expert Irr. Magic + Dark Ritual is a waste of 2 skill points...

I like Dungeon because it reminds me of my Warhammer Fantasy Dark Elves army.

Plus, Dungeon was my second-favorite town in III, and even though I miss my awesome Minotaurs, I like how Dungeon has gone back to the "quality over quantity" approach it had in Heroes II.
