Multiplayer campaigns

Is there some way to crack Map Editor so that Campaign Editor would take also multiplayer maps?

I canīt see the reason why campaign editor must be restricted only for single player maps.

If what you want to do is a multiplayer campaign (as the thread title suggests), the editor is only part of the problem: there is no UI in the game to launch a campaign in multiplayer anyway.

If you only want to use a multiplayer map as part of a singleplayer campaign, try renaming the folder inside the .h5m file from Multiplayer/ to SingleMissions/.

Yeah, I see your point, didnīt came to my mind. Even if you get the campaign editor to take those multiplayer map files, you canīt start the campaign in multiplayer mode. Also if thereīs two players, there is no option to determine continuing heroes for both of them.

If someone could create tool for multiplayer campaigns I would really appreciate it, but I guess itīs unlikely. I guess itīs minority who would enjoy this kind of game mode, but I myself would find it great to play continuous game against computer with a friend.

I agree. It would be tricky as opponents, but as allied, it would be a natural extension of the single player campaign mode, and could be quite enjoyable.
Another technical problem here though is that scripts do not work in multiplayer, so until Nival helps us out here, there's not much we can do. (edit: actually, they do... sorry)
