A "doFile" command for .xdb files?

I've been trying to meddle a bit in specifying stuff in external files (but still within a scenario package). Now I've seen that it's possible to call a .lua script file by using the doFile command. When you use it in a script, the called .lua file is read and interpreted, just like the main script file.

I wonder if something similar is possible for .xdb files. Those files usually contain all sorts of settings, and I wonder if it's possible to meddle with those while playing the game - simply by referring to those files. My attempts so far have been ... unsuccesful. Does anyone know if this is even possible?

No, but let me know if it works. This will alow characters to change appearance! If there's ever an Uberwog for HV, this could be very useful.

This would be similar to dynamically loading a mod (which I'd like to be able to do as well, but I doubt very much it's possible).
