Celestial Heavens is a forum without QPs. After I joined it, I don't remember making more quality posts here then there, except about things that have no 'space' there (such as Altar of Wishes threads, there's no sub-forum like that there - and neither OSM but it's not like I make quality posts in OSM  )
I even volunteered to be the one that keeps the scores for a game there (Caladont) - so you think I did it for a non-existent QP?

Yes but that is CH, a different forum. I see that you post nearly as much there as you do here so you would be used to both by now. You might not be used to getting rewards over there but you might be used to getting rewards here, in this case the QP's and therefore you don't think it's right if you put more effort into a post yet it receives no QP at all. Like I have said before, it's not the reward that matters but it's the content of the post. Just post here because you want to post not because you want something.
That is probably my main reason why QP's would be better of not being here, since it produces debates like these (although this isn't bad, but some users feel as if their effort goes to waste in the end since they think their post sucks if they don't get rewarded (not targeting you with that one ash, just an example)).

Maybe it is just because it is hard to find the quality posts between all the thousands of other posts you managed to write here in less than 5 months? I'm not sure you will find anyone else with a similar postcount/registration time ratio than yours. Maybe Elvin
But this is how it sometimes works (at least for me). If you see hundred new posts from a single member a day, you stop reading it carefully.
And a quality post has (nearly) nothing to do with effort. Making the community a better place is the key word..

The problem here seems to be that Ash thinks that a QP post is better than one without. Why do you even care Ash? (I mean, what others get QP for) As long as you KNOW your posts are NOT USELESS and DON'T SUCK (else people wouldn't post in them, look at the Resource thread for goodness' sake, how good it was), then why do you even care?
As a side note, does that mean posts when QPs were given "easier" are better? (if not, I'd like to know what objectively, not subjectively, make you think otherwise, since you seem to not like a "great post!" because it's, ehm, subjective, as if not the whole forum is).
If I get an "awesome! thanks man!" or "brilliant idea" it is what makes me feel like what I have done is at least appreciated. I don't care if I get a QP or not (especially after the fourth star). Why is a little freaking star more important than "awesome"?

So right he should get a qp, if mods don't want to give qp's and say "awesome post" instead that is xD
(the irony. I know its complicated but think of someone saying why posts dont need QP's and mods say he's right so they give him a qp)

Now in the case, I agree, if said person (who got a cheap QP) will then brag about it and how good he is and that others suck and then try to act "bossy" around and tell others how to write for his oh-so-great-effort (in this example, it isn't obviously), then I do get annoyed at said person too, so that's perfectly understandable.

I would like to point moderator attention to this thread: The PWN thread. It's been going for 16 pages, and it holds some of the most amusing, clever and original posts this forum has seen in a LONG time - and it's all in pictures! I think that's great quality material.

This might be worth a QP, even though I'm not sure were the line for a QP goes. I've only been here for like half a year (I was barely here before that since we only had like 26k dail up). But I think the thread has lead to improved knowledge of QPs and encourages quality posting and telling the mods about QP worthy stuff, even though I don't think that was the purpose of the thread (at least not the first part) and as I said; I'm not sure were the border between penalty/normal/bonus posts go, but this thread has gotten me a step closer to that knowledge!

Nah, it doesn't deserve a QP either, IMO. You can find a bunch of information on QP's in the FAQ. The FAQ holds many things and should be read by everyone before they join the forum. If you haven't read it then you should. It will probably answer most of the things you want to know.

I don't know, to me, 16 pages of creative and funny replies is a contribution of much greater quality than so much else that gets a red star on this forum.
