In order of importance :
1.Wisdom
2.Logistics
3.Earth Magic
4.Air Magic
5.Archery (unless, of course, you play Inferno - just Gogs as a shooter, sometimes better stay unupgraded, and it's a matter of time they "metamorph" into demons; Fortress heroes would also avoid it, Fortress's strenght isn't exactly them stupid lizardmen, be it upgraded)
6.Offence
7.Tactics
8.Armourer
I don't consider Luck and Morale, cuz they can be acquired by artefacts, of course almost everything else can be acuired by arefacts, but that's just my kind of playin'. You also have a lot of map locations to boost both Morale and Luck...Again - just my opinion. Intelligence is not that good because there might always be an unoccupied Dungeon, or, say, a magic spring.
It all depends on the particular game, but that would be my list of secondaries

I think intelligence may prove useful if it's a big / "final critical battle", if you have any level 5 summon elementals. The mana points can then be translated into additional elementals in the battlefield. And the doubling of mana is accumulative, if I didn't remember wrong? Personally I'll swoop the Archery in the list with Intelligence, unless the hero carries Tower troops. Very good list, well balanced with might and magic skills, in my opinion.
By the way, in such a list of 8 "perfect skills", what speciality should the Hero/Heroine possess to be "perfect"?

The answer is on the game setup.
Warrior:
1. Armorer
2. Earth Magic
3. Logistics
4. Wisdom
5. Water Magic
6. Intelligence
7. Air Magic
8. Ballistics
This is, how I try to build a Fortress Hero, say Alkin or Tazar, in a single Player game on a huge map. I know, Tactics and Offense are missing, and I have my personal reasons.
For an online game, I recommend you use a build that is more efficient.

I wonder why this is discussed over and over again...thousands of Human-to-Human games have already destilled the most usefull skills ..
..some are almost always useful..
Earth
Logistics
Offense
Blacksmith
Tactics
...some are to choose to the specific game constellation..like
Pathfinding
Resistance
Inteligence
Wisdom
Archery
Air/Water/Fire.. etc...
..and some are simply almost useless ..like
Eagle Eye
Learning
Seamansship...etc.

I am one who does not choose tactics when offered (though it a must have for certain types of armies, like barbarian). I rely on shooters and flyers & long range creatures.

If your oponent have tactics and you dont, your shooters will be prety vulnerable. And as almost all of the shooters have melee penalty, they become useless.
From what you say i have the impresion that you rarely play against other people, only agains the computer. Am i right?

Hi,
I think these are the best 8 secondary skills in general:
- offense
- armourer
- resistance
- wisdom
- earth magic (for best use of town portal)
- tactics
- luck
- diplomacy (if banned then logistics or pathfinding)
Regards,
L.

My opinion,Logistics it the number 1 skill because rather obviously, with this skill you can move further and gain experience and hit deadlines faster therefore gaining other skills such as earth, air, path, offence, armour and tactics faster than you would be able to without it.
