If your message remains the same Sha, then no amount of cosmetic surgery will make people see your words. Perhaps it is your messages and not necessarily your name that must change in order to get your message through?
I think a nice custom avatar would do you well. I am thinking about the same for myself, but I'm afraid that people won't like a change in appearance. Or maybe they're begging for it, lol!

Even if all those stars were taken away and all of those posts deleted, it wouldn't change me or who I am. I'd still be Shae, in spirit and in thinking and I would have no past for people to judge me by. That for me is like saying I now wish to run away from the things that I have said and turn my back on all the convictions and arguments I have exchanged with friends.
You cannot escape WHO you are (unless your name is Milena!) and I think that this board has made you a better person for all of your words. After all this time, are you just going to pretend to be someone else?
I know I can't escape who I am. I can just try to change the way I think and the way I see people. Certain things are within my control, but I just can't say I no longer want to be me anymore. I can just grow from my mistakes and be true to myself and not to what people would like me to be.
I think that some of us post so much and are here all the time that they don't realize that every day they log off, the grow a little bit and change a little too. If they haven't grown in some positive way, then their time spent here has been meaningless and a true waste of life.
I know exactly what I'm getting out of this board, apart from fun. Knowledge of myself and of the english language. The desire to learn different styles of writing and become so familiar with informality that in the future, should I need it, it shall come back to me like an old trick. However, in order to get something from the board, I guess I have to give something of myself too and so I post about my personal experiences and give something of myself.
Your name is not necessarily YOU Sha. It's just a word that people use to identify you with your past acts and over time we all build up a mental image of what this person called Sha is really like in real life. Just because you change your name and avatar and try to do a Clark Kent doesn't mean you can hide the Superman within you.

You posted again very good post Shae.
Think is that "the character" here has kinda developed role of it's own. I haven't been acting or do I want to act another person that I am.
In fact I believe same has happened with you Shae too. People start to create image of their own about "Shae_Trielle" and it's possible that images isn't close what you want it to be or it doesn't even close to the reality.
I have changed a lot recently and I hardly ever change my skin in real world so I would like that change to reflect also here. However if I has same face and same manners people will still just want to see the good old Sha.
I'm just to be more ME in this board than before and maybe it would be possible with new avatar and name.
It's not so big deal but it would be refreshing change.

I have the same problem sometimes too. I come across as a little bit too sharp and too harsh and too stand-offish. I try and balance these sort of things out with some light humour and cream talk but it doesn't always work I suppose and my reputation as snow goes up another notch.
*sigh*
Hell it's only a board Sha. I try not to analyse myself and my motives too much lest I go crazy. I tire of the green hair witch snow snow face tart stuff too you know. But in the end I know that I have friends and I don't have green hair in real life and I can never convey the true depth of my personality across a message board in a million posts, let alone the ones I have made.
So even if we did create new 'identities' we'd still end up misrepresenting ourselves, no matter how hard we tried. People's perceptions are always bound to be skewed.

Must agree with you Shae.
Real life is real life where you can show your true personality but in the board...you can only show one small of yourself.
Still changing avatar could be fun for a change.

I don't like having numbers after my name either, but I'm not good at coming up with names, so I try to stick to the same name everywhere and use numbers if I must. Sadly, some places even rogue27 is taken...
I would have guessed that Don Giovanni was a reference to a certain neckbiter role playing game, but I guess not.

I thought for a moment about changing me account and be Woockardo, but then I realised that I would lose my stars and QPs  . Well, actualy I don't care about the damn thing. But it looks nice to have several stars under your avatar . And if Lord_Woock was taken when I came here, I'd probably be woock.
