Why is life that hard sometimes?
Many of you saw the pictures of my baby which was born on november 29th. She is doing very well....but the mother doesn't...
My wife suffered an apoplectic stroke in the evening of tuesday (2 days ago). A bloodvessel bursted in her brain all of a sudden. The doctors in the hospital (a very good hospital refering to neurolgy) have put her in a coma in the night to make sure all her inner values keep stable.
I was on her side on tuesday evening when that happened. She complained about vicious headache all of a sudden, which made her start crying and screaming. And when the nurses came, she didn't talk anymore....uncontrolled movement of her arms, set eyes...and only a wailing came out of her mouth the whole time.
Due to the fact this hopsital is mainly for women giving birth to children, they immediately called the emergency ambulance to bring her in a special hospital.
She is in the "intensive care unit" of the neurolgy now, and I am allowed to visit her for 1.5 hours a day (from 2.30 pm to 4 pm). They will bring her back from the coma today they told me yesterday and see how things proceed.
My wife is 25 years old.....

Buddy, I am very very sorry to hear that you are going through something like this. I can't even imagine how hard that must be. I experienced the birth of my son last summer and was a nervous wreck just hoping that everything went ok without too many problems. I really don't know what to say except to hang in there and that I will pray for her and your family.

I can do little but say i wish you and her the best of luck. These things sometime happen i guess. Hopefully shes being given painkillers, because in the end pain is probably the worst thing in these situations.
Hopefully she will be better soon. I can only hope you dont take it too hard as your child needs you . Though its hard to remember that soemtimes. Remember thta if you act calmly its more likely that your baby will also feel better.

I am so sorry to hear this. Sometimes things in life just suddenly shift absolutely cynically and just knock the wind out of you. I know that there is not much that I can do, but I wish your wife to be very strong, who needs to battle through this. Hang in there man, be strong, you too need to claw through this, do not let yourself drop down.
I hope that she will soon recover and soon you will all be together again.

I'm so sorry, Angelito... It might cheer you up to hear that my grandfather went through the exact same thing a few years back, and he's fully recovered now. And he was 70 years old. I hope your wife's young age helps her in recovering. Apart from that, all I can say is, hang in there and I'll be thinking about you and praying!

There are cases in life when you can say nothing because you are amazed of what you are going through. This is one of the times. I wish you all my best and the quickest possible recovery for your wife. Let us know of her recovery in this very same thread asap!
