Maybe to make it a bit easier to understand.
when you make a post, it goes into your total post count. When you have posts deleted, obviously the post count goes down.
The post count system is like a ranking thing. When you get more posts, your rank goes up.
In this case, your post count rank goes up.
For example:
When you make a total of 21 posts,you will gain a yellow star under your name.
Currently, you should only see 2 red stars. The red Stars equal Quality Points. Quality Points are given to you by moderators when you make a post that in some way contributes to the forum, is funny, is something new that hasn't been seen before, informative, etc.
So if you make a post that stands out and is good, like it has quality in it, then you might receive a Quality Point, or otherwise known as QP's.
As you make more posts, your post count will go up, and you will gain a status. Your current status is 'Tavern Dweller'. This will change once you make more posts and the yellow stars are increased.
You get 1 yellow star when you make 21 posts.
You get 2 yellow stars when you make 51 posts.
You get 3 yellow stars when you make 121 posts.
You get 4 yellow stars when you make 301 posts.
You get 5 yellow stars when you make 801 posts.
You get 6 yellow stars when you make 2001 posts.
You get 7 yellow stars when you make 6001 posts.
The status that you get is as follows:
0 Yellow stars equal Tavern Dweller.
1 Yellow Star equals Hired Hero.
2 Yellow Stars equals Adventuring Hero.
3 Yellow Stars equals Known Hero.
4 Yellow Stars equals Famous Hero.
5 Yellow Stars equals Supreme Hero.
6 Yellow Stars equals Legendary Hero.
7 Yellow Stars equals Undefeatable Hero
Beyond 6001 posts, we do not know what the next status is. Maybe Valeriy might tell us one day  Valeriy is the admin of this site, the person who made it. 
For the QP's, they too have a ranking system.
This is how it goes:
3 QP's equals 3 red stars instead of two, and a rank of 'Promising'.
8 QP's equals 4 red stars instead of three, and a rank of 'Responsible'.
15 QP's equals 5 red stars instead of four, and a rank of 'Honorable'.
25 QP's equals 6 red stars instead of five, and a rank of 'Admirable'.
There is a rank for getting 50 QP's but I do not know it.
