I have a glitch with a creature I'm making.
it is when I click on the creature in the hero window :
it is when I switch from another creature to the creature I'm making :
it is a creature made from an adventure map building.
I looked at the character files, and the xml structure seemed to be the same than for other creatures.
the creature works well in battle.
I have no idea what it looks like on the adventure map.
it has no icon, no name and no description because I haven't included them yet.

hey,I have downloaded the Blue Archangel mod(made by H5 beta) and I don't know how to istall it.When I open the folder are write "Model" and "texture".When i click on medel it say Creatures,then Haven,then Archangel_LOD-Archangel_Main_LOD(texture).dds.... When I click on textures appears "auto_imported________" and "interface"...
Ok,this is only the second mod who I install and I really suck at installing mods! Can anyone help me? Please..please..

I think you have to zip the folder, rename the extension to .h5u and put it in the usermods folder.

And the usermods folder is the game istallation folder? Ok,but then I put it in the usermods folder what I need to do? (or simply put it into the usermods folder?)

I understand - I must put the mod in the folder called " Usermods" and rename it to "h5u"
But how I need to do after I make that 2 things??

the checked background usually appears when texture (could be an icon or a model's texture) is not linked or linked wrong.

no, it wasn't the question, the creature doesn't have an icon yet.
it was about the weird blue background and the creature being invisible whereas it works fine on the battlefield.

A quick question for you modding wizzes here, I think I've seen this discussed before, but just to be positive:
Is it possible to change the chances of skills to show up on level-up for Hero-classes - i.e., could I, if I wanted, make it so that Sylvan had 50 % chance of having Dark Magic on level up (just to say something random)?

Perhaps you should try that. When working on the Nexus, I once used a camera file from the original game which inexplicably didn't work. Then I tried a TotE one and bingo, no problem.

Possible and easy. If you already know how to mod, then data.pak\GameMechanics\RefTables\HeroClass.xdb is where to look. Edit the <Prob> values at will, but make sure they add up to 100 per class.

Cool. Hoped as much. Now here's a question that ties on to this: Is it possible to define new (extra) Hero classes besides those that are in the game, or are they hardcoded?

Well, yes and yes. It's absolutely possible to do, but adding new class IDs involves editing the exe file - i.e. they are hardcoded.

Ok so it would not be possible to add a new class-ID to the list (i.e. <ID>HERO_CLASS_CLERIC</ID> and then change files for individual Heroes to refer to this class rather than Knight class?

You know, that's exactly what I did months ago. It worked to some degree - I got a new Cleric ID - but it just acted as a "redirect" to the Knight's one. Kronos explained that in addition to making the file structure work, you've also got to hex edit the .exe, which is originally programmed to allow only eight hero classes (and seven for HoF, etc).
So in a nutshell, you do have to set up the file structure before your class can work, but you have to edit the .exe as well. We even had a discussion on this, way back

BIG PROBLEM FOR ME (ok,not so big..)
I can't find my Usermods folder!!!
I didn't delete everything form Heroes 5 folder,but Usermods folder is missing
CAN ANYONE HELP ME ?? (or I need to make a new Usermods folder,but I fear it will don't work )

That folder is only present in TotE, btw. If you deleted it by mistake, just make a new one with the same name.
