Anyone can help me change the hero specials in a map? I added all the heroes in the game since they'd all be equal without them but somehow they retained them.

I went to MapObjects and changed their specials with Ornella's, <Specialization>HERO_SPEC_LOGISTICS</Specialization>

However that did not work when I added the MapObjects folder in the map. Any ideas what's wrong or if there is a simple mod to do it without changing them one by one?

Have you change the specialitation description too?

Probably you've changed the speciality, but the description is still the old one. You better search for the hero who has by default the special you want to add to Ornella

Oh, and iirc, you must change 3 lines+ the special one(the three are for the description, the image it shows, and sth more that I don't remenber.

You are right, I had just tested it and the old bonuses are certainly not there. Guess I'll have to deal with the pics, don't care about the description much

Where could I change the income village hall generates? Also where can I change max starting atb, could I possibly change it to 0.1?

good idea, I know at the top of defaultstats.xdb there is an ATB endtime and basetime , but I don't know what they do.

Village Hall is hardcoded I'm afraid. Unless a slew of Ocean's Eleven-style professional code-crackers join us in the near future, scripts are your only option.

Then hopefully someone knows how to edit the starting atb, village hall wasn't really important.

Something else, can I make barbarian heroes start with lvl 4 talisman? I found <TalismanLevel>4</TalismanLevel> in MapObjects but if I change it to 4 it doesn't give town portal. Am I missing something?

Also I found this in rpgstats:

I know some people from the russian tournament edition made changes to these values. I thought the max area is maximum amount of squares taken by obstacles and freelines guarantees always to have two free lines next to each other to reach the other side of the battlefield, otherwise large creatures are unable to get through.

Yeah but in that case wouldn't it be 2x4 plus 6x1 total 14? Actually less since the max mixed obstacles are 4.

What if a mixed obstacle is an obstacle taking two or three squares, then the sum becomes 6+8 + 4x3 max = 26

Can't see allies or enemy movement

I know this isn't about modding but i dont know where else to post it.

I have had this problem on TOE since I got it. I cannot see my allies movement when playing, and also can't see the enemies move even when right next to my base. I get maybe half a millimeter down the right side of my screen but the screen is otherwise fully black (except for the turn bar of course). I didn't even have AI movement speed set to max.

The same thing happened when playing, from the same disc, on a friends computer.

I tried playin HoF and it worked perfectly.

Does anybody have any ideas why I can't see and how it could be fixed? Is it possible that one of the files is corrupted and could be replaced using some kind of mod?

P.S. The same thing happens when playing Magnomagus's HOMM5 Role Playing Edition

If you mean the black screen between the turns (when the AI act), it was added with patch, for HoF I think. Before that everything was normal.

Yeh thats the thing I mean.

So it's supposed to be a black screen now? Even on Allies turn?

Is it possible to mod so that you can see the AI's actions?

I don't remember how to do that. I edited the autoexec_a2_dm.cfg and/or the autoexec_a2.cfg files and change the

Hi!

Can you help me in a problem?

I want to modify the first aid tent. In H5 (ToE), it has only 3 "charges". Heal 3 times, then do nothing. So using the firs aid ability is pretty much useless this way. I need first aid tents with unlimited charges...
