Poll Question:
Spore
As many should know spore is a game of life.
Honestly it is an rpg for the first part
rts for the second part and
God game for the third part.
How can taking your creature and guiding its everymove as it adapts to an everchanging enviroment.
how can guiding your tribe and slowly advancing through year to become cities and empires.
how can creating planets with your bare hands and colonating them.
..how can any of these things ever get boring.
with Massive opportunities online play (world and creature sharing)
Go ahead create a world where your species is dominant.
or trying to create a balanced world.
Will you buy it.
It will be comeing out for all systems.
but it will come out for pc and handhelds first.

ill buy it if my computer can handle it. Because i think it will be as good if not better then the average game. But the game sounds long-winded, Buggy and maybe with poor features implemented. Noone will want to go through an ordeal of hours and hours of making a creature and making it a global ruler more then once or twice unless they make it very short in which case it will be replayed and the fun will burn out. Theres a balance im sure but its hard. Apart from that its replayability is overrated i think. Whats the difference? Playing a creature that has horns and 5 arms instead of a freak with tentacles? it sounds interesting but its like a difference between a game which lets you play france and england and the only thing thats really changed is one is red and one is blue. It will have an impact im certain . but i wouldnt be overly optimistic. Besides that a game of this scale, And on the computer no less where you can release patches, Is almost certain to be buggy as can be. even worse then heroes 5 vanilla, And thats not even near the pinnacle of buggy games. What i think will really be the downfall of this game will be a pitiful AI that poses no challenge ever, It seems to me as if you can keep peace and you will be left alone, or you can build up before you attack and the AI wont be expecting it. It will hardly be a challange.
I doubt it will come out as a game thats short enough to make it worth replaying, wont be very buggy , will make a serious difference between choosing how you make your creature at the start, and that the AI will be good enough to pose a challenge but wont be harrasing you 99% of the time . In short your left with a game which is like a lesser RPG, a lesser Sim-type game a lesser black and white and a lesser RTS. Only time will tell if its worth buying a game like this or just four other different games for a better experience.

The release date is unconfirmed somewhere in 2008-2009
and requirements are unknown.

also royal the team has dedicated them selves to creating some of the most intelligent and widescale ai.edit: i have been informed that anims are based on skeleton and ai is based on skills and resources/abilities.

Intellegent AI = basically means you can amass 10 million warriors and as long as you dont attack anyone everyone remains peaceful, and when you DO attack everyone ignores neighboring tribes and tries to steamroll you thats what they gave the impression of anyway

I think if it was to be intelligent A.I then it would not do that. It would probably form some kind of other strategy to use against you. If this game is to have a very good A.I then it would have to be different in the way that it thinks and makes it's decisions.

either way it has been somewhat thought about when sims 2 came out. on the computer you can play Spore(tm)
roy-al view some vidoes on spore the game is hard to explain.

I want to make a big creature like a scorpion but with the mout on its back an a hand where the stinger would be to grab food and drop it into the mouth.
I also want to make a Teletubby Demon.

I was really excited about this game when it was first announced - what was it, 2004, 2005? Anyway, the loooong wait has made my interest almost wane.
