It's not productive because the rest of society gets nothing out of it. Those children just follow in the footsteps of their parents.

LOL.  Actually, that reminds me that some of them volunteer in MADA servieces (Ambulances), and when there's a terrorist attack, they are the ones who bring the wounded to a hospital, and clean the scene.

Some fanatics are far worse then terrorists. I would say a charismatic fanatic is a dozen times more dangerous then a terrorist with more then his weight in explosives.

What does that have to do with anything? You can work quietly at a job all your life, and that contributes to society (unless the job is something like "drug dealer" or "terrorist").

Lol if you do the world a lot of good everyone becomes paranoid and hates you. There is no such thing as a extremely widely remembered positive occurence from individuals. Look at microsoft, Probably the best thing to happen to PCs because they brought them to the mainstream. Who likes them now?

But there are lots of people who quietly work at their jobs and thus contribute positively to society.
And I don't think that anyone outside of Apple seriously hates Microsoft.

True, but the muslim ones are most well known. Of course not all muslims can be terrorist (it's impossible) but people associated the more with terrorism than Buddhists or hindus (who both are known ofr religious terrorist group). Most terrorists are muslims though (at least, the ones that we hear of), but we can't blame the religion. It's the people who muist be blamed to take things sort ridiculously serious. Religious fanatism does not only happen in Islam (look at ZanJerusalem), but in every religion.
Abolish Religions, I say, then no one can misinterprate them. (thats what fanatics do)

Yes, that isn't fair. But, today, mostly, terroristic acts have been accomplished by Muslims, followed by J.W.Bush and then all others...
The fanatics of Orthodoxianity are called 'Pustinjaci'. They live in the desert in very harsh conditions. They consider that fanatical. Ofcourse, I can't say that there are some mafias related to Orthodoxianity but, Orthodox tradition is not to hurt anyone anyhow. I know that that is not same for Musilms, but, everyone has the right to an opinion. And when we are still at this subject, lets all remember the words that the current Pope said about Muslim faith. For those who didn't hear them, I would just say that they weren't nice.

By that logic you can abolish anything that can possibly be misused. So basically everything . Just because something can be misinterpreted it doesn't mean it should be abolished... or would you like to abolish knives since they can be used to stab people?

Didn't we already have this discussion? The only purpose of religion is to blind, IMO. (Some would say it comforts, but it comforts by blinding.) A knife can be used in a manner that doesn't harm anybody.
That said, I don't think that we should just ban religion. We should improve science education in our schools, and improve developing countries.
