Why did you make
"the computer is less interested in attacking computer players"?
Isn't that less realistic? Because in a rational world, each player should be treated equally by the AI. Like in the real game world, there is no "computer" and "human" player difference, just factions right?

He wanted to make IMPROVED AI, at least from human viewpoint. Most logical doesn't equall improved.
However if you want balanced difficulty which has same agressiveness towards AI or human players, check this MOD:
Balanced Difficulty MOD
Keep in mind this variation of AI is weaker from player point of view since it doesn't concentrate its attacks on the humans.

Everyone can have his own viewpoint, but in case of my mod people were already complaining the hard level (which is basically normal tweaked as much as possible to be harder)was not challenging enough to be fun.
So the balanced mod will be even easier then that to beat.
If the computer players are interested in attacking each other, you run the risk they weaken each other severely and in end game you will have nothing to fight against with the huge army you build up.
@Yasmiel:
-It is impossible to stop or change the AI fleeing by editing the defaultstats.xdb (read earlier posts here from me and people who tested for me)
-Your mod is probably not as balanced as you think because (according to phoenixreborn) the AI pays 66% for troops.

@ yasmiel
Does that mod work with Tribes of the East?
@ magnomagus
So does the AI gang up on you if there are more than 1 AI players? So like all armies are marching towards you? Or do they simply not attack each other as much, but is not more aggressive towards you?

Yes, it is not the same when you play 1 vs All (by editing the team settings in the mapeditor), in fact sometimes computer players still attack each other. In the end your best choice will depend on how good you play, you should try difficulty levels in the following order:
-normal (without mods)
-normal (yasmiels mod)
-hard (classic ai)
-hard (without mods)
-expert (classic ai)
-heroic (without mods)
-champion (classic ai)
So if you beat one level easily and it is no fun anymore you should step up. Take in mind one of the other purposes of my mod was increasing performance on large maps, so that could be a second reason to use it.

Does your mod lengthen the game if the AI is not attacking each other(in terms of game weeks)?
What would be the difference between your mod and the hard levels of the official AIs? Is your's identical just without cheating? Or are they different?

I think there might be a slight increase, simply because you need to beat more resistance. I personally had never thought about this side effect and I don't see it as negative.
Quote: What would be the difference between your mod and the hard levels of the official AIs? Is your's identical just without cheating? Or are they different?
My hard level is the same as the official with the big difference that it doesn't cheat, therefore it will be a lot easier. But still a lot harder then normal. The idea of the mod is to fill the huge gap between the ridiculously simple 'normal' level and the very difficult 'hard' level.
so I converted easy to normal and normal to hard. (Nobody would use easy anyway)

Yes, it is intended for TotE.
Btw, if you are good player and even have online experience, balanced mod would probably indeed be quite weak for you. In that case i recommend one of the higher difficulty levels from Magnomagus' mods.
On the other hand, if you are one of many players that have trouble with original Hard mode, you might find this difficulty suitable for you.

Thanks.
@magnomagus
How do you install your mod? I put the file into the folder but when I started the game I get the same difficulty settings. There are no signs of your mod. (on the start menu where it selects difficulties that is)
Thanks.

Start a game single player or otherwise, you'll find the new difficulty settings.
Make sure you put the mod in your UserMODS folder.

Does it apply to multiplayer modes only or the campaign also?

It's is not for campaigns, mainly because the overriding of starting resources seems to cause bugs. It also would hardly make a difference because the difficulty in campaigns is for the biggest part defined by map scripts.

I've come to an incredible situation with your modified AI!!
in fact I've been defeated by successing attacks on my territory. the AI didn't let itself been thrown into wolf's mouth following my lure and went directly to my castle.
after successfuly fighting against two armies of undead I thought the hardest was behind me... but I was wrong, dark elves went to my territory and killed me easily.
whoooooo hard time!
I'll take my revenge!
anyway: classic AI mod is good for you! it's all like guinness

As far as I know, if you play a custom map/mod, all the players in the game require the map/mod, not just yourself.
