I know that AI now flees more intelligently, but AI still cheats, doesn't it?
It is because I see AI coming at me with 3 times the army (at month 2 week 1, which is theoretically impossible) that I decided to install the AI mod.
So in v3.1 will AI still cheat in unmodded "Hard" difficulty?

I see no reason why it wouldn't cheat in 3.1.
The feature I miss the most from the AI mod so far (haven't had enough time to test 3.1 thoroughly) is the 2 heroes per castle limitation.
Quote: -the computer creates one main hero and a support hero when it owns one town, it creates one hero for every new town it conquers, up to a maximum of 8. (This setting is probably most human-like)
Unless I'm mistaken that helped a lot to speed up computer turns as well.
So is there a simple way to implement this with 3.1?

Wow, events in life have caused me to forget about this. I need to get on it.

Quote: None of the AI-mods will work in 3.1, since 3.1 uses a new defaultstats.xdb (a file that contains a lot of important gameplay-stats). Nival also made changes to the hard-coded part of the AI so it should already be slightly better without any mod. I'm currently working on some new ideas for 3.1, but I can't give any release date. Making a mod itself is not much work, but testing new settings in game and see if they really make it better takes much more time.
Has there been an update to this mod or has the HoMM community decided that the AI in 3.1 was sufficient?
