Pros/cons of your favourite town
So, I have been lurking here for a while, but decided to register in order to participate in the debate.
I am interested in knowing what makes you prefer the town you do, and how you, as a hardcore user of that particular town, overcome the disadvantages of said faction.
Will anyone share their thoughts?
Thank you.

my fav i Sylvan, it has many pros as well as cons. I like it for initiative and for that that every unit is good in something eg. dragons
very very good for first (possibly lucky) strike, treants good in guarding vulnerable archers (one hit from them and You are grounded for rest of the fight), unicorns good for charge right after dragons more than average initiative and nice specials, druids these guys have more than one use, but they are also quite good archers, hunters are best ranged in the game and are perfect in dealing massive ranged damage, dancers in tote they have good use, now can charge along with unicorns and dragons, dryad also first turn charge (now can be have two lives using union with treants). Heroes are also quite good, in tote possibilities are endless, loads of defense ensure that you will exist after charge on the opponent, and knowledge gives you mass mana, it's maybe not the best bat quite good as you can rise your spellpower (by amount of your large knowledge ) using druids. But Sylvan has also many cons, like paper archers and low numbers of dryads and dancers.
this gives sometimes hard begin of match, expensive town build, lots of gems crystal and wood, it can hurt. unupgraded low tiers units are week , dragons aren't very durable, hero has usually low attack, treants are sooo slow, vulnerability for rushes etc.

Inferno
Pros:
1. Imps help Inferno to counter factions that don't have high knowledge, and excellent counter against hero nukes
2. Nice faction ability i.e. gating
3. Creatures generally have high initiatives
4. Hero stats and abilities support war machine skills nicely
5. Ultimate pre-requisites skills are relatively useful
6. Specialize Dark Magic - Powerful
Cons:
1. Generally weaker creatures than other factions
2. Hero is not too useful
3. Very hard early game
4. Creatures are very fragile
5. Have a useless tier i.e. demons

My favorite town is...I am going to regret saying this...Haven.
With the intro of ToTE there are few new pros, amongst these, the Crossbowmen, a chance at Divine Vengeance, and the Seraphs, who when combined with Divine Strength can deal devastating damage. In addition to this there are several other pros, including a powerful Tier 7, a Tier 6 that is Immune to Frenzy and can essentially dispel it, and the most powerful in terms of stats Tier 4.
The cons include a pathetic tier 1, and an average Tier 3, though the Vindicators are actually quite powerful. The racial ability isn't too great, though 20 extra Paladins a week...is intimidating if you can pay for them. Also the heroes need to rely on artifacts to use much needed light-spells, but that's not so bad.

Quote: 2. Hero is not too useful
huh? why?
Quote: 3. Very hard early game
Yeah? Since when?
Quote: 4. Creatures are very fragile
Just the cerberi and imps, the rest is average or above.
Quote: 5. Have a useless tier i.e. demons
Most factions do - only Sylvan does not.

My favorite would be dungeon,
The units are quite good for creeping, but in hero fights they rarely shine mostly due to a lack of supporting abilities from the hero. Also on the downside the gameplay may become monotonous because you end up repeatedly casting the same spell over and over. However if you are fed up with slow early creeping and want to fight packs of tier 6s week 1 dungeon is what you want.
I also like necro and academy because they specialize in summoning magic which offers the most diversity in spells and tactics.

So your favorite faction is the Dwarves. Just kidding. Necropolis is nice, but maybe some real pros and cons. I haven't really played with them since the intro of Dark Energy (well except in Campaign) and would like to know how this affects balanced games.

My favourite faction is Stronghold.
Itīs pros, in my opinion, are itīs HUGE growth rates(seriously, 56 goblins/week is nothing to be laughed at...), incredible racial skill(blood rage, combined with blood fire, Pile of skulls and memory of our blood, is superb. Youīll begin the fight with most of stacks already in level 1 blood rage!) and VERY good creatures(All creatures are good, none of them can be said to be useless or just plain bad).
Itīs most serious con is the lack of magic(Yesterday, I fought against few Djinn Sultans, and right at the start of match they casted slow and confusion on my centaurs. Not funny! I won the match with few losses, though). Stronghold creatures are also bit weak statistically when compared to other towns(the first 5, at least, but this is compensated by the growth rate).

My favourite with TotE was Stronghold.
The blood rage is just too good. The major drawback (and a deal breaker for me) is the ineffectiveness of shatter dark. If you don't have the shield that blocks Frenzy, you can't protect your cyclops (taking into account that you spent at least 3 levels to get expert shatter dark and perhpas more for other shatter dark perks).
Add to that the rather annoying skills needed for the ultimate and it all becomes rather frustrating.
I always liked Fortress, but the alternative upgrades have rekindled my interest in Inferno.

Necropolis:
pros:
-highest creature growth
-Will Reraise lost creature's
-Master's of dark magic
-new dark energy is nice, gives others a change, and allows to raise other than skeleton archer's
-easy creeps (not easy as dungeon tho)
Cons:
-weak creature's
-costs alot of mercury and ore
-if hero dosent have dark magic your pretty much done.

My favourite town is Necropolis.
+ :
Undead ability
Raise dead spell that is equal with resurection in Undead case
That they can form in time biggest army of them all
Dark Magic
The town design (subjective)
Incorporeal ability at lvl 3 creature
Skeletons. (in time you can get a huge amount of them and combined with frenzy ability and some artifacts they are very dangerous)
Powerfull lvl 5 creature (Archilich)
Howl of terror
- :
Extremly weak lvl 7 creature(more like a lvl 6)
Zombie (usefull only as cannon fodder)
Dark energy
Heroes do not have awsome abilities
Overall is a town with powerfull magic, where you have weak creatures, but lots of them, average heroes.

Dark Energy is a great thing and it is really quite balanced. The fact that you can raise only a certain amount of troops seems fine to me and when I played the campaign, I harassed my abilitiy to raise so many Wraiths when I have to high-level heroes.

MY favorite is inferno and necropolis.
For demons they are just the chaotic creatures and should have strong attack.
Cons:Where is the strength of chaos and durability?I want more CHAOS.
