Not bad, but those textures are too blue and monotonous. They could use a reworking. Also the H2 portrait is a little unfitting (strange that it's of better technical quality than the ones we've got over 10 years later in H5...). Why not use this one?

@Suraklin:
Thanks for this constructive reaction to my question, but I realise now you probably didn't know that I already created a mod that brings around 120 heroes from h3 and h4 (including sandro) to TOE using portraits from heroes4. (Link) The reason that I asked you the source from this mod was that I wanted to know if somebody was working on a conversion pack for h5 using h2 portraits, because I liked the portraits from heroes 2 and there are some of my old favourites in heroes 2 that are not included in my own mod. The reason is that I wanted all portraits in my mod to have the same style. Nonetheless it was a good choice to release this because I think there are enough people interested in having sandro seperated with this new skin.
@Cepheus:
Unfitting!, this is the original sandro, where are you talking about?

I too think the H2 sandro icon looks better. Questions before I DL:
-What's the casting animations for both defensive and offensive spells? (e.i. with Wizards, the the casting animation for defense is the spiral cast and the offensive is the flourishing cast).
-Does it move correctly? and lastly...
-How does it attack?
Note: replace all "it's" with "he's".
Good hunting Suraklin.

Here is the archive that have the animations:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<AnimSet ObjectRecordID="75">
<animations>
<Item>
<Kind>specability</Kind>
<Anim href="Wraith-arena-specability.xdb#xpointer(/BasicSkelAnim)"/>
</Item>
<Item>
<Kind>cast</Kind>
<Anim href="Wraith-arena-specability.xdb#xpointer(/BasicSkelAnim)"/>
</Item>
<Item>
<Kind>attack00</Kind>
<Anim href="/_(BasicSkelAnim)/Creatures/Necropolis/Wight/attack00.(BasicSkelAnim).xdb#xpointer(/BasicSkelAnim)"/>
</Item>
<Item>
<Kind>rangeattack</Kind>
<Anim href="Wraith-arena-specability.xdb#xpointer(/BasicSkelAnim)"/>
</Item>
<Item>
<Kind>hit</Kind>
<Anim href="/_(BasicSkelAnim)/Creatures/Necropolis/Wight/hit.(BasicSkelAnim).xdb#xpointer(/BasicSkelAnim)"/>
</Item>
<Item>
<Kind>idle00</Kind>
<Anim href="/_(BasicSkelAnim)/Creatures/Necropolis/Wight/idle00.(BasicSkelAnim).xdb#xpointer(/BasicSkelAnim)"/>
</Item>
<Item>
<Kind>move</Kind>
<Anim href="/_(BasicSkelAnim)/Creatures/Necropolis/Wight/move.(BasicSkelAnim).xdb#xpointer(/BasicSkelAnim)"/>
</Item>
</animations>
<ExpSrcScene href="/models/Creatures/Necropolis/Wight.mb"/>
<ExpSrcClipFolder href="/Animations/Creatures/NECROPOLIS/Wight/Clip/"/>
<ExpRootTransform>Global</ExpRootTransform>
</AnimSet>
So his attack is ranged and uses the wight animation for cast.
And yes, he moves perfectly in the adventure map.
And if someone here is spanish i can upload spanish version of the mod since im spanish

I now the custom animation edit thing is on the wiki, but is it possible to tie the wraith's harm touch to Sandro's offensive spell and the Banshee's Death Wail to his defensive. The attack could also be damage by cast of decay (not the spell, just the effect). If its possible, just tell me. I'll do it myself. Hopefully, if the guide is on the wiki. If not, someone please make one and add it to the wiki.

They are reserved for GotP, cant be used without permission from Relentless, since the portrait was created for the GotP project.

I just meant it doesn't quite fit with the style of the other portraits in the game. Besides, to nitpick, the others have a small black background around their edges, this one doesn't.

Ouch. Fair enough... but isn't Relentless long gone? And ain't I still on the team? And hasn't GotP been lying dead for about 3+ months since we went back to complete ToK?
In any case it was just a suggestion, I'm sorry if it looked like I was stealing Relentless' work or anything. Not like there's an official copyright on it either
Plus I remember seeing a mod over at Elrath which "borrowed" the GotP Galthran portrait to make a hero called "Dolkhat"...

I'm sure relentless would be delighted if it were used (I know I would be if I went away from HC, then came back and found my stuff being used). But on the subject of copyright:
Quote: A copyright comes into existence as soon as the work is fixed in a tangible medium of expression, so copyright exists in a work as soon as the author completes the music composition or play. The author of the work initially owns the copyright. However, ownership of the right may be transferred to others. If the work is created by an employee, the employer is considered to be the author and owns the copyright as a work for hire.
As the owner of the copyright, the author has the exclusive right to make copies of the work, display and perform the work publicly and to distribute copies of the work to the public. These exclusive rights last for the life of the author plus 70 years. The copyright in a work made for hire, however, lasts for a fixed term of 95 years from the date of the work's creation.
So actually it sounds as if relentless would have control (although that's just the US law, I don't know about how it works on an international level...).

Just check F.C.'s interview, he said that he would have loved to include some fan-made stuff into H5 but the laws are so complicated (most likely because of copyrights and "intellectual property") that Ubisoft lawyers advised them not to do it ^^ Too many papers to sign etc...
Unless Relentless wrote that anyone is free to use his artworks, it belongs to him. Period.

Ok ok, sorry, I get the message. I honestly didn't know people worried so much about making use of good artworks which are currently collecting dust in dead threads (providing due credit of course, otherwise using it would just be rude and wrong), especially when the author has been inactive for the best part of a year. Will never suggest anything like this again as long as I live.

Hehe sorry Ceph, I generally condone using other people's work so long as you give them due credit - in communities like this, it's important to share what we can do.

Well, I don't know what Relentless' thoughts are about that. I don't say he would agree or not, but what I meant is that before using any material from someone else, the courtesy would be to ask its creator if he agrees.
In this case, I'd say that since he left the community, one should ask the responsible of the GotP project
