create heroes
in heroes 6 i think we should be able to create our own heroes like in lord of the rings battle for middle earth 2. based on the faction that we choose there should be several different appearances. we would choose which one we like and then give them armour and weapons. we would also choose there starting primary stats, skills, and abilities. maybe we could even choose there mount. like a haven hereo could ride a griffin, a horse, or walk. i think this would help diversify the game and it would just be cool

Very cool idea. I think it should be implimented into H6. You could also have certain stats for the heroes depending on how they look ex: a hero with lots of armour would have higher defense, but would not travel quite as far as others or heroes on mounts would have certain terrain bonuses compaired to heroes on foot.
Just throwing in some ideas.

Oh, and there could be a thing where you upgrade the Tavern based on what you have! Eg, basic Pub means Hero on foot; Tavern (requires Stables) = Hero on horse (faster); Inn (requrires Griffin Dwelling) = Hero on Griffin, has flying. (But has to land at the end of day)
The same can be true of other Factions.
Sylvan:
Walking
Unicorn
Dragon
Inferno:
Walking
Nighmare
Drake?
Necropolis:
Walking
Death Knight on Horse
Vampire Bat
Stronghold:
Walking
On Boar/Warg/whatever
On Roc? I don't see pao-kai as friendly mounts.
Dungeon:
Walking
On Lizard
On Dragon
Academy:
Walking (carried by slaves? In those royal basket things?)
On Elephant
On Flying Stone
Fortress:
Walking
On Bear
[None]
And third level mounts can have specials once per battle: Academy = Crush with stone, Sylvan/Dungeon = Fire Breath, Necro = Life Drain into Mana, etc.

yeah, and it could be balanced out. like a hero on a griffin would be faster on the terrain and give bonuses to flying units in battle. it would also give the heroe a high attack but his spellpower and knowledge could be capped at five or something to help even it out. or if you wanted the heroe to upgrade to better mounts then we wouldn't need the cap.
also all of the heroes in h5 look the same in battle. being able to create your own heroe would make each battle unique. for inferno there could be succubus or devil or some demon on a nightmare. i think these options would just increase the playability.

Something I'd like is if the Creatures had costume changes based on your color. Eg, If you are a blue inferno player you have blue demons.

Not exactly an on-topic thought, but what about having neutral heroes (ie, not native to any town), or even properly neutral towns, so they hire heroes like normal, but the heroes only go a limited distance from the town?

a good idea, the though of having my own hero in the fight makes the game a little more involving.
that doesn't mean we shouldn't have already made heroes, i take it.
an idea for mounts, how about having them reflect how many troops they can take and what speed they go at, and cost, and have different creatures or modes of transport. something like this would explain.
Speed
slow= Large animal
medium= foot
fast= Flying, small animal
Capacity
low= Small animal
Medium= Flying, Foot
High= Large animal
Cost
Low= foot (nothing)
Medium= Small animal
High= Large animal, flying.
small animals
Haven= war horse
Inferno= nightmare
necropolis= skeleton horse
academy= camel
sylvan= tiger (i don't really like them riding unicorns)
dungeon= Veloceraptor
Fortress= Ram/ bear
Stronghold= Wolf
Naga= Kelpie
Large animals
Haven= Chariot
inferno= Some kind of large fiery demon beast.
Nercopolis= the Idea of rotting mammoth or something springs to mind
Academy= elephant
Sylvan= possibly some kind of tree creature, like an large tree on legs
Dungeon= T-rex
Fortress= Mammoth
Stronghold= Bison
Naga= Giant turtle.

But then the Hero would not have a story and he/she will be speechless like all other hero creating games.

there would still be generic heroes. also you would only create a hero for multiplayer so they wouldnt need to talk. and you could make their story when you created them.

how dare you! i think the hero should be on a runic circle and he would teleport! and i think that as your mount gets better, it has more movement points(duh). i think for necro it wouldn't be a bat but would be a spectral dragon. and i think that all of this shouldn't be in a tavern. you build the tavern, and a ranch(better name plz) becomes availble. you build it, and then you can hire heroes from the tavern. the ranch(still need a better name), allows you to upgrade your mount. and maybe mounts would have a small skill build?
