What a pity  (just kidding) anyway recently i am not listenning to them a lot too but just saying they are really good. Now i am really into Deathstars, Gothminister and Stoneman - those three are kinda similar and are soooo amazing!

@TitaniumAlloy - Go on Google, search for all the rammstein lyrics on english , Till (frontsinger) writes some weird stuff: Stein Um stein, he put cement around his girlfriends Feet and make her watch him build a house around her! With no doors or windows so no one can hear her scream!
And what you say about the lyrics i have to disagree a little too. Metal lyrics, are from nature depressing, but many of the new guys and new songs are having many society problems and stuff like that in them. Maybe you can't hear what they are singing, but in my experience you learn to hear what they say Training
Oh and Killswitch engage actully writes love songs
@Pinkspear - I call metallica for alright of some reasons
1. Only the old stuff (From ...and justice for all and back) is good, their prime time. They wrote their best snow then and havn't been at that level yet! Which made them more commercial and more "pop'ish"
2. If you listen to the new guys or those that came a few year after metallica, they make more creative music and got different ideas. Just listen to Opeth! Metallica just lost the spark for music in the middle of the 90'
(but I have hopes for their new snow )
About slipknot, Ill try not to offend you, how can you say Stonesour is better then Slipknot! I think corey got tired of screaming and felt like: If I make soft-metal Ill earn EVEN MORE MONEY! Then he made stonesour and earned some extra money :S Not that stonesour is good, its just so.. Argh! on the wrong trail of metal. Slipknot isn't that great either but atleast they play with the music , where stonesour just do the typically snow!
-You guys are so dark more "death" then me Im very trashy and fast, with some melodic death all over..

I know Rammstein is pretty ****ed up. I'm not saying that they are different to the rest, but I'm saying that they pull it off.

When it comes to metal, i either prefer the old heavy metal, doom and death metal, or Power metal. Reasons being is that Old heavy metal were the first so alot of the riffs are simple to play along too, Doom and death metal gets you much more hyped up for pitting, and power metal's solo's are AWESOME!

Thats what I hate about the metal genre, People hate each other and the bands to much! Lets get together as a family instead.
Just like black metal hates Death metal(cant remember if it was theM) because they arent evil enough, what is with that! lets hate Hiphop instead?! Or something else

I agree with you about Metallica, their new(er) stuff is not that good. But they are a milestone in music history anyways, that's why I thought calling them only alright is a bit strange .
About Opeth I've got only a few words. THANK GOD FOR HC!!! I saw a lot of people talking about them here, and I listened their songs on youtube, and actually I fell in love with this band

Hey, no offence , it's just our taste differ, and I see this thing in the exact opposite way . But Stone Sour was before Slipknot (SS started in 1992 and Slipknot in 1995).
And finally an interesting quote from Jonathan Davis about nu-metal:
“We’ve spawned a lot of clones, but let me explain… Well, I hate the nu-metal term. We have always just been a band that rocks. We didn’t like when people called us a metal band, we are just Korn. Black Metal is horrific screeching and Death are more like deep, badass growling. I prefer Death anyday, but its not my most chosen metal type.
I go for Power, Heavy and Speed metal. And the bands I just cant get tired of are:
Sonata Arctica - Those finnish guy, our neigbhours to the east are really kicking butt all over the world! Still not that well known in America they say, though there are some concentrated groups worshipping them. Broken, My Land, Abandoned-Pleased-Brainwashed-Exploited, Gravenimage and The Ruins Of My Life are my favorite songs.
Disturbed, Drowning Pool, Lumsk (heavy, power metal from my country (Norway) and Nickelback are others I like alot.

I agree with you on that. But when you discover the whole metal scene you learn that others are just way better But yes a milestone, a historic band indeed.

Indeed But I have same relationship with Opeth as I have with Dream Theater, if I need some inspiration ill listen to opeth (Mostly)
