Geny said: Edit: Ok, I watched some comparison videos and seeing the animations side by side I clearly see what you mean. My second point still stands though.
Yeah, it's not easy to tell at first glance, cus season one didn't have as much of an over-the-top level of graphics like some series out there. Still at least battle sequences were top notch. You could really feel the impact of Saitamas punches, and the whole series had this epic feel to it (sound composition, music, animation, effects). The only S2 scene that somewhat captured the "feeling" of season one was when Saitama randomly encountered Garo and hit him back after he attacked him. That was the single epic scene in the entire season...
Monster arc is not the best out there (a lot of derailing from Saitama), but it still could have been adapted a lot better. Heck, just listen to the generic "bang" sound whenever someone is hit in season 2.
Evyrything about it screams "mediocricy".
@Stevie
Dororo is noice. Oldschool action series with all its ups and downs. But it does asks some meaningful questions, like a true Tezuka adaptation should...

Hol' up! Hol' up for just a hot second here! DanMachi, episode 8.
HOW IN THE WORLD AM I WATCHING THIS JUST NOW!? IT'S SO ****ING GOOD!
Okay, out of all the MMO/RPG animes I have seen, THIS ONE, WITHOUT A DOUBT, IS THE BEST! That minotaur fight was... so... perfect..... SO DAMN PERFECT I STOOD RIGHT UP IN AWE AND EMOTION AT THE END! And everything else thus far, the world, the characters, the development, the RPG elements, everything just so appealing man. I am not going to sleep until I finish this.
AND THEN THE LAST FIGHT WITH THE TITAN SO CLICHE AND PREDICTABLE NUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
Still great up to that point, anime ranks high in my book.
I watched the minotaur fight 3 times already, couldn't get enough. It was so good man, so good! I'll wake up tomorrow and watch it again.

@Stevie
*facepalm
Well, daaa! Danmachi is one of the best "dungeon crawlers" out there. Has so many epic moments. And you can't but like the dynamics between its characters, Hestia and Lili are so cute when they fight over Bell
There was also a spinoff of sorts (Sword Oratoria), it told the same story from Loki Familia point of view, but it wasn't that good.
I've waited a long time for the sequel, hope it delivers.

Sword oratoria not as good but still worth checking out for background information and behind the scenes politics. There is a lot going on that Bell is not aware of.
There is also a manga with Ryu which is good fun.

Story aside, Ains isn't a very compelling character and Lefiya is freaking annoying. So it mostly serves to enrich your knowledge of the original.

Also the Lefiya characters is a bit of a stretch. They added her just to fill in some plot space, yet she doesn't even appear that much in the main series.
I'm enjoying the season so far!
Symphogear XV - well this got pretty dark, I don't remember the series being so ruthless. The whole concert scene in episode 2 was a bloody mess. The music is also more dynamic. They also amped the battle animations. Don't know if you guys are even interested in the series but it's sort of a phenomena: still ever so popular even after 5 seasons
Enen - the series is a blast (pun intended). This and Vinland are top tier when it comes to overall execution (music, graphics). I really liked one of the random comments about the OP: you can really make a wallpaper out of every frame I thought it would be more shounen-y, but it's actually pretty serious (the MC is not an idiot despite how he looks at first glance). Btw, I wonder if the author had some bad expieriences with fires (lost a loved one or sth), it would seem that way.
El-Melloi - wasn't that interested at first, but second episode got me interested. Seems it's a bit different then other Fate/ stuff. It does have quality graphics and magecraft mumbo-jumbo though. I like the atmosphere, animes taking place in England always have this specific charm to them.

Are you saying... THERE'S MORE!?
NOT FOR LONG!
EDIT: AND NOW FOR THE MOVIE BEFORE SEASON 2, BUT BEFORE THAT, JUST ONE MORE MINOTAUR FIGHT...
Sword Oratoria was definitely good, not great like the first season, but worth the watch no doubt. It expands on what the other side was doing all this time and boy did they have their hands full alright. Lefyia or whatever was a bit too distracting and annoying, didn't let it bother me though. Enjoying this amazing story a lot, I'm thoroughly hyped for what's next.

Yep, Cop Craft is definately worth watching.
The anime takes itself seriously (in a good way). It's like those noir/cop/detective stories, and actually feels more Western then Eastern. The dynamic between the protagonists is cute

That's really sad. I really want to hear the reason why that had to happen. 33 people dead, imagine their families... Studio's gonna recover hard as well. And then you read that the suspect who screamed "die" was taken to the hospital under medical care... Just speechless man.
Okay, just look at this: https://myanimelist.net/anime/producer/2/Kyoto_Animation
I watched SO MANY of their anime and can't think of one that disappointed. And from MAL comments they were a good company to the employees too. Why would they deserve this in anyone's opinion? Just mind-boggling man.
Also warnings about the fundraising, they're not official. Wouldn't want to donate to some scumbags taking the opportunity to redirect people's honest desire to help to their own pockets.

Supposedly the arsonist screamed something like "You ripped me off", so he might've had some copyright issues with them. Maybe he was a mangaka who assumed they stole his intellectual property or didn't pay him enough? Who knows what sits in the mind of a psycho.
KyoAni has a really unique style, I love how they draw characters, they are full of charm. Made some of my favourite animes too: Full Metal panic, A Silent Voice, Kobayashi, Chunibyo to name a few. They also were one of the few studios who payed regular salaries which is not so obvious in anime industry.
This will definitely take a huge toll on anime in general, studio itself might even be closed.

Well hopefully not, for the sake of the other employees. They still have two other buildings, right? And with all the sympathy and attention they gathered, maybe they can get through it. More help, less issues, they can get back on their feet.

Rumour has it that the arsonist was a bat**** crazy neckbeard train enthusiast that got pissed off because sweaty moe otakus started invading his favourite trainspotting location after seeing KyoAni's latest movie.
Also, the nipponese have very crappy fire safety laws for a culture that essentially lives in glorified tinderboxes.
