Map editor problem
Map editor problem,
I create my own map and I look if there are any map validations.
The map has no validations and I save the map.
But when I play HOMM3(complete) I can't find my map anywhere.
When I played HOMM3 without any add ons, a few years ago, the map editor was perfect and I always could find my self-created map.
Do I something wrong? Or does the game anything wrong?
Is there anybody that recognize this problem? And is there anybody who can help me to fix this problem?

Did you name your map (in Tools > Map Specifications > Map Name), not just your file?

Yes, I did.
There are no validates with the map.
And that's the problem. There's nothing wrong with the map but I can't find him.

You need to give the map TWO names.
BEFORE you save the map, u have to give it a name. This works like this:
This is the name you will find in your maps list when u have started your game and want to chose this map and play it.
And when u have done that, THEN u can save the file itself. This will be the name you can see when u open your explorer and look into your map folder.

I did, I really did.
But I can't find the map on 'available scenarios'.
And if I click on 'map validations' then the computer say:"There are no problems with the map". waht do I do wrong then?????

Have you saved it in the Maps folder?
Or perhaps you haven't checked all the map versions in the main menu, when you launched the game...? There are three different icons on the left, when you want to choose a scenario: RoE, AB and SoD - check the entire map list.
P.S. If you used these {brackets}, your map would appear the last while its name would be in yellow.

Another common problem among first time map makers is that if you set the amount of human players to 1 then you can't find it in the multiplayer sections. Is this perhaps the problem? Or maybe it's even set to only computer players, then you wont find it in any lists.

Hm, I admit that I had not seen that yet.
But I've exactly done what you said and still I can't find my map.
But thanx for the tip, Klurig
