HOMM 3.5
Yes, I heard of the Heroes of might and magi 3.5 and I think it is cool. Like you said, you can destroy buildings in castles and when you destroy all of them, you can choose the type of the castle and start over again. There are 8th level creatures and 23 new creatures including : a three headed dragon, nightmares, some sort of toxic clouds, Lords of fire, and new upgrades for creatures like : green dragon-gold dragon-diamont dragon, bone dragon-ghowst dragon-blood dragon, fire golms, monks with red coats... A bunch of new artifacts and some sort of "using your head" (some times you have to make a dicision-take the artifact, tolk to the crusader, fight peasant... If you have seen any other craetures, please tell me. And what do you think about HOMM 4. I think they are great! Hello from Wolfmaster! Auuuuuuuu!

I'm surprised that the Wake of Gods thing is so low key. From what I saw it just plain looked awesome and should have been an official expansion from 3DO. It appears to be everything (and I do mean 'everything!') that a HoMM3 gamer would love. New creatures, new scripting, new graphics. Razing towns and rebuilding them in any form you please (turn your necro town into a castle town).
I'm not sure whether Wake of the Gods is going to affect my original game engine or whether it's a rightful expansion in itself. I don't know how I'm going to get my hands on it either, if I do ever bother to pick it up...
All depends on how much people kick up a fuss...

Tell me, but is WOG an OFFICIAL add-on? These extra things looks so unprofessional like the 3 headed dragon has a dodgy image of the combination of hydra and green dragon....most new creatures are just existing creatures wit hdifferent colour, and I saw one of the map item is ripped off directly from Disciples....this whole thing made me curious...
The thing that worries me is that this IS a GREAT addon...but if it's actually an unofficial stuff I don't think I can get the boxed copy here in Australia...aww shucks bloody hell mate!

It's not official Lich. It's a russian version of HoMM which has been edited and had the game code cracked and altered. I too agree that some of the graphics do look a little dodgy, but hell, some of them look really nice too. Like that barricade around the castle town with the crazy looking garrison! And the three headed dragon isn't a bad morph either! The colouring alterations on some of the creatures are nice, better than the originals. I'm most impressed with the new engine itself though. For an unofficial hack, it's pretty well done, although by no means of the standard that you'd expect for a boxed release.

I tried doing graphics editing... and it failed. However, I was able to edit the statistics of the creatures, and that was very easy.
However, I have to say that it is far easier to edit starcraft than it is to edit Heroes3... if you check out www.infoceptor.com they have made a warcraft III conversion of starcraft.
At any rate I am extremely happy to have WOG for Homm3, and i wish the team the best luck. Keep up the good work!

First, it's okay if we can't get the boxed copy of it, but now they're asking for some payment over the net....the problem is that I don't know how to use any paypal stuff and I don't even have a credit card account(hey I'm only 18) that means I can't enjoy this grad mod then...sobs...oooh why!?!?! Why?!?!?!?!

Too bad...
I don't own Shadow of Death...
Otherwise would give WOG a try...
Looks pretty good and I like the whole idea. That kind of things should gamecompanies to support. I mean they could give money to small programming groups that would get fame by making some sort of expansion to game. However it needs gamecode that is easily edited.
Modbusiness should start spreading to other game genres too than just firstpersonshooters...

How have you edited the stats

How have you done this? I have tried with the ERMscript but it seems that you need another program! Please answer me what have you done !!!

WOG will replace heroes 4 for those that are/will be disapointed with H4. We get a lot of new things without having to stand the new H4 graphics engine.

If you have AB or SOD I think, you can simply edit the crtraits.txt file and place it in your Heroes3/Data directory. Otherwise, if you have Restoration of Erathia, then download this program: lodedit V1.0 par Slaim at http://www.multimania.com/modhomm3/ and Modhomm from the same site
Simply place both lodedit files in your Heroes3/Data directory, then place the ModHomm file in your Heroes3 directory. Then, extract the crtraits.txt file using Modhomm out of h3bitmap.lod I think. This will give you a text file with which you can edit the statistics (includes growth, speed, health, defense etc. but not special abilities or graphics... I haven't figured out how to do that yet) and after you have changed it, place it in the Heroes3 directory.
Then Edit 'Replace.bat' et list all the things you want to integrate...
Example :
lodedt @CRTRAITS.txt
Then simply run the game, and restart the scenario over.. you will have your changes.
Errr... this wasn't so simple. If you don't get it, give me an IM here on the community.

Good news
for all the fans waiting for WoG. I've read in the Statesman's Quill forum that the release date is just tomorrow, November 20th. Hope it will be true, cos the game has been delayed a lot.
And no packed box. You need to download it (I suppose that it's for free), and that can be a problem for low-speed connections.
By the way, have anyone of you had installed two copies of SoD in the same computer. I want to play WoG, but without losing my HOMM3 official game. I'll try to install it in another directory, but I don't know how the Windows registry will handle that.

Let's put some things straight.
The WOG expansion is for free.
It will come in two different versions; a 30 MB game-only and a 100 MB with video.
You can install the WOG on top of your SOD without interference with your original SOD. Meaning you will have no problems playing your original maps, etc.
And finally - this game can become even greater than H4! The clue that map makers can edit everything and alter everything even during the game opens up a whole new dimension to the game - especially on single player mode...
WOG rules!!!

Thank you! Now I can edit all the stats in HoMM. With the resedit.com you can extract every file from the .lod files and edit it ( not only the creature and artifact files).
As for the monster specialities I have checked every .txt file and I can not find them
Resedit.com is available from one of the Heroes WoG sites.
