Note: The member about to post his opinion about Brawl does not actually own a Wii. He has, however, played four hours of it at his cousin's house. 
Anyways, here are my thoughts on SSBB and its characters, based on what I did play:
> Pokémon Trainer is awesome!
Picking him gives you, essentially, three different characters to use. Me and my cousin beat All-Star Mode in Normal difficulty (hey, you gotta start somewhere  ) by abusing Ivysaur's Bullet Seed and Snake's Nikita (the Rocket Launcher thingie ).

Well, he got replaced by Lucario...and the impression that I got was that he's functionally identical to the Psychic warrior of Melee. In any case, I think he's too slow for my liking.

I miss Down+B Tornado. Not to mention, they replaced it with his Sunshine Water Pack...which I never figured out what it was supposed to do...

I find he's relatively unchanged from Melee. Alas, he'll never be the overkill he was in the original N64 version of the game. (That, or maybe they boosted every other character for Melee...)

I noticed that and promptly commented on the neatness of that.
Basically, those were the characters I played. I also helped my cousin set some Co-Op records in the Home Run Contest and clear the Co-Op Events.
I consider Brawl to be a very fun game and a worthy successor to Melee, but that's just me.

already found a glitch involving models and effects.
it was inspired by the melee turnip black hole.
I took two wolf and used their speed ups to cause the effect to go faster than the model.
result: samus got hit by a missle while behind an allies sheild.

I don't know why people keep complaining about brawl. To me, it is quite a bit better than melee was for a couple of reasons. 1) it is waaay more balanced 2)the bad characters such as bowser were made alot better and the good ones, such as marth were taken down a couple pegs so people wouldnt abuse them.
Also, people are complaining about not being able to wavedash anymore. What they dont realized though, is that wavedashing is a glitch is the melee physics engine, meaning you are not supposed to be able to do it, but supposed melee "pros" expoited it. So in reality, they aren't actually pros because wavedashing is not a skill, a strategy or tactic of their own, its a glitch. I myslef can wavedash, but I choose not to use it because it doest show my skill. And getting rid of wavedashing is one of my favourite things about brawl.
People also say that brawl has been dumbed down, but that's not the fact at all, if anything its much harder. I played roughly 36 hours of brawl in 2 days this weekend and by doing so, I learned some of the major differences between it and melee. One of the main things that makes it harder is more characters. This means there are more characters to learn to play as and to play against. There are also now no bad characters or ones who are left out(besides mario, hes an excellent character, but no one likes to play as him).
The subspace emissary(adventure mode) is amazing. Some people say its bad because you have to play as certain characters, but they dont realize that it's a perfect opportunity to learn characters that theyve never tried before. I can realte to it because while playing subspace exactly that happended to me. At one point I though lucas was a horrible character, but after playing a stage or 2 with him, he is now one of my favourites.
All I'm trying to say here is that people shouldnt critisize a game unless they've played it more than a handfull of times. Give a game a chance, dont just look at it and make assumptions about it.
One tihng I would like to make better though, would be the "brawl with anyone online" feature. There should be a ranking system so you could at least play against people your level instead of going against someone who will destroy you in an instant or someone who will give you no challenge at all.

Anybody have a favorite song for the game? Of all of the music (which is great), I'd say my favorite is the song that is first heard when you get control of Fox and Diddy after defeating the legendary pokemon. It's the song that starts out pretty brisk and then the acoustic guitar start playing.

I like heavy,metal,mega brawl... you are more likely to die if you try to move.

I used to play invisible mode on melee, it was very funny, you'd get me punching a wall, another guy greifing some poor sod, the poor sod getting griefed and another guy who would continually walk off the edge.
it was always funny!

yeah lol, those special brawls are sick, try this:
metal stamina(optional) heavy fast brawl, turn on only the smash ball and pokeball and put the item appearance to high, set the launch power to the max, and play in final destination, its so funny, the match ends in like 5 seconds. you can barely jump for the smash ball because of metal and heavy lol, but if someone does get the smash ball(especially star fox charectors, ganondorf, bowser, or any ohter charector which can pretty much cover the whole stage and just hit everyone easily) every one just dies because of the launch power. i occasionally turn on the poke ball just for fun, then the brawl i only like 1 second because everyone gets a pokemon and then at least one of them is legendary, so it kills everyone.
another sweet thing about just normal brawls, is just turning on the smash ball and pokeball item appearance on high, and doing 99-man survival, it only took me about an hour with the CPU on 4(normal) pretty fun thing to do.
so people, what charectors do you like/prefer?
i started out beating people up with pit, then there was ike/marth, then meta knight, played with toon link for some time, and now mostly playing with wolf since i really got used to his specials and smashes, i still play with the good ol' meta sometimes though.

have you ever done 300% small fast bunny light brawl with launch power on 2.0? i had a 99 life brawl of battlefield... lasted 13 minutes.

These are in no particular order.
Samus, Zero Suit Samus, Link, Toon Link, Ike, Snake, Kirby, R.O.B, Bowser, Falco and Lucas.
For songs, I like all of the metroid ones (I'm a huge metroid fan), most of the zelda ones, gourmet race from the kirby series and a couple other random ones.
As for special brawls, heres what I've done. Heavy, metal, fast, curry, bunny hood, 200% damage and only smash balls on high on hyrule temple with 25 stock.

i don't really like snake that much, his normal attacks are kind of weak and his specials are sort of slow, i like to play more with fast charectors.
P.S. i think i didn't even try wario out yet lol
