Okay, how about....
Racial File 011: The Dark Elf Clans
Once upon a horizon of bright life, the Dark Elves were a part of the Grand Elven Council. They were known as the Loam Elves, referring to their sickly complexion. Furthermore, they seemed too dark and ruthless to the other Elven families. As such, favor with the Council dwindled, and soon they were joined by the Antioch Elves and the War of Brothers began.
During that civil war, the Loam and Antioch Elves attempted the mass murder of the Elven High Council. They were thwarted by Ivendil the Protector, a Druid known as one of the few to summon the Symphonium in battle. They were put on trial as a separate race and outcast from the Great Glades for eternity. The Loam and Antioch Elves parted ways with their mutual conspiracies and misconceptions. The Antioch Elves, a darker, more suspicious race fled to the Far Southern Shoals to be devoured by the fell creatures of those lands. None survived.
The Loam Elves wandered for generations, until they found communion with Orkon, the Aruken Patriarch and God. They found their principles astonishingly similar, and an eternal friendship was formed. The Loam Elves split into four clans from which to cover more ground in a coalition. The most impractical and chaotic split to the Swagmire Clan, deep in the Marshes of Mire where grows the most dangerous and exotic herbs and plants. Those who found comfort in the arcane and conformed followed the Mystique Clan to the Central Knolls. Their they created the Dark Elf Capital of Illusior. The more brutish and buff were sent to the borderlands to live under the Darkwing Clan. The most venerable and the old were sent to the Aruken Caves to live in harmony with their benefactors. They prospered from the extensive tunnels in the Arukens lair, for the stretched into sepulchers of lost kings and figures of great wealth. They were named the Talon Clan from their Clanlady Rachne, the demigod of Orkon.
From that day forward, the Loam elves cast aside their imposed name and took on the alias of the Dark Elves to forever dwell in the swamps of the continent of Contagion.
Military
Employing various units and heavily relying on Poison damage, the Dark Elves have extensive power in magic and ranged warfare, stemming from their Elven roots. They also tame the native Aruken to use in battle. These colossal 50-foot spiders are fiersome in battle and can be recruited at the Racial Building the Aruken Caves. Only powerful heros can call on Orkons power and summon the Aruken Mistresses.
