The Idea of One God in the World of Ashan

I first came with this idea in the world of Ashan to be more realistic and to be more connected to our real world. The Myth of Creation stated that everything (the twin Dragons of Order and Chaos) was created from the void. But the question here is who created them, who willed existence to exist through the Cosmic Egg?
Every faction in Ashan worships different god, and every god has only limited power over Ashan. So what about the idea of a one most powerful god that have power over everything (factions, demons, angels, and kings) even the gods themselves. This One God will be either called the God of All gods, the King of All kings, the Overgod or the Creator.
The One God’s story begins long before the Mythic Age and the Void. He began creation by creating the Cosmic Egg and therefore giving birth to the twin Dragons of Order and Chaos. The twin Dragons are like the good and evil in the world of Ashan, and which are at the same time the two aspects of the One God. The Dragon of Order is Asha, and the Dragon of Chaos is Urgash. In the current world of Ashan, all mortals and lesser beings were worshipping the Dragon gods (higher beings) until the birth of the Dark Messiah.
When the Creator of the Twin Dragons realized that Urgash and his worshippers became more powerful than all other dragon gods (the story of Heroes of Might and Magic V), he ordered mortals to abandoned their gods, and ordered the Dragon gods to stop ordering mortals to worship them. Moreover, the One God commanded all creation (gods and mortals) to worship him as their true and only god. The dragon gods who rejected his call became demons and devils or fallen angels who followed Urgash. As for The dragon gods who obeyed The One God’s Call became known as Seraphim and Cherubim. The point here is Seraphim and devils are the same as the dragon gods but with different alignments, and also that Seraphim are not worshiped and demons are. Urgash is like Satan in the real world, and Asha is like Gabriel or maybe Azrael (because he is the Angel of Death). The first dragon god who obeyed the Call is Asha the Dragon Seraphim of Order, Asha became the highest in rank among all other dragon god. As a result, the Necromancers (Asha’s followers) followed her example and worshipped the Creator as Asha ordered them; therefore, Asha and her followers became the Blessed Ones and changed their faction name from Necropolis to the Holy Order of Necromancy. *[Spoiler]* Arantir’s death changed many things, including Asha’s will. Arantir was Asha’s chosen one, so his defeat was a great loss; defeated by Urgash’s chosen Sarath. We understand from the story of Dark Messiah that Urgash has become the most powerful dragon god. That is why the One God ordered the Call; he knew that there is no point in letting mortals worship beings that do not deserve to be worshiped or to be called gods.
As for Urgash, he disobeys the Call and becomes even more evil, he claims him self to be the most powerful god; therefore, Urgash and his fallen angels rebelled against his creator, knowing that it is too late for them to redeem them selves. Urgash him self knows that his rebellion is going to fail, the rebellion is only a lie made by him just to get more followers.

This is my idea of Heroes of Might and Magic 6 after Queen Isabel's War and the 6th Eclipse. Some my say how did I call the One God “the Creator” when Asha was the creator of everything. The answer is that Asha would not have had created anything without the One God, because he brought her and her twin brother to existence, and everything happens according to his will.

My idea of “the One God” is influenced by the world that we exist in and by the role-playing game “Neverwinter Nights 2” where is the Overgod Ao who is the god of both gods and mortals.
This is my vision for the future Heroes of Might and Magic, I will post my idea of the Necropolis faction based on the above story soon; the point in the Necropolis faction is that they changed as their goddess changed.

All of These ideas are not official; I envisioned them. I hope that every one likes my ideas. I will answer what I can of your questions and suggestions.

It sounds interesting.

Even though i don't like the idea of having 1 god, because it lacks variety.

It can work.
One god that each faction worships in a different way. Each facion sees it in a different way, and possibly thinks that the other factions sin in the way they worship it. Every faction is sure that the god is with them, and sure it supports them only.
It just makes sense, like in the real world. After all, no matter how you call it, "the Lord", "Alla" or "Elohim", they are the same god. The Christianity, the Islam and the Judaism, all of them worship that god, in different ways.
That would made sense. Another reason for wars in HOMM world can be the religion, the thinking that the other factions are all sinners, and according to the orders of the god, they should be destroyed.

On the other hand, I also like the idea of having many gods, something like the Greek gods, that each faction doesn't worships only one like on HOMM5. Every faction should worship atleast 3-5 gods that represent the traits of the faction. For instance, I would let the Elves to worship the Goddess of Nature, the God of Peace and the God of Serenity.

I agree with you GenieLord, the point here is that the old dragon gods did not disappear; they changed from being gods to Higher Beings
(Seraphim and Devils), because it is considered a sin for them to call them selves “gods”. Like the Greek and Egyptian old gods, they became know as demons after the coming of the monotheistic religions, and the gods who stopped playing god and did there duty well considered to be angels. It is like the concept of Fallen Angels = Demons= False gods.
