Clan Wars share your battles....
updated post with more screens and replays!
I just finish an Clan War agains The Teacher and what a battle...
We played on Dragons Cape.... (all random....) I got Dougal Teacher got Ingvar...
I was the first one to break garrison into the dessert...
and cleared all the dessert area....
While I was doing that Teacher went down under and cleared out the dungeon....
I headed straight to his town and took it....
at this time clock was working against Teacher... (now he only got 7 days left for his glory....)
after I have taken his town I went straight back into desssert and back home...
now Ingvar (is close by in the dungeon....)
but one thing I was'nt prepared for at all was: Ignite and last stand.. grr..
I hired all my troops and went straight down to Ingvar....
(seems to be an nice party down in the dungeon..
here is what dougal looked like:
Ingvar:
the battle went on for soooo long.... but in the end....
my "tiny" was standing alone against +
44 crossbows against 19 rune priest and 7 thane.....
first battle replay
so my crossbows almost "pee" in their pants and cried on Dougal...
plz take us home.... and so he did....
------------------------------------------------------
at this time Ingvar really got the "clock" working against him.....
but we manage to make one final battle (on the last day of his glory...) day 7 without a town...
Ingvar att. my town with his 19 rune priest + his 7 thanes...
I got 44 crossbows. + 374 conscripts....
second battle replay
after a while the glory days of Dougal had come to and end.....
the ruler of the Dragons Cape is now "The Teacher" the mighty one...
last word.......
games like this is so fun.... in this one no imba things what so ever.... and as the battle goes on I almost forget about my goal (who should be to win this freakin one)... so close for both of us...
and again so damn fun!!
I have'nt asked The Teacher if I could post it... but I hope it's okay... after all he won....
Great game Teacher...... until next time....
fiur out.....
---------------------------------------------------------------------
ps.... maybe Ves can make an "sticky"
and I hope so se more post from Clan War games... I'm sure there is several great ones.....
and we got some smashing nicks.. lol Ves...

Great battle and great story I've noticed this earlier...Perhaps, Fiur could be nominated "the official TOH bard"
Keep it up, Fiur!

Wow, just amazing!
That particular situation is a nice example that in some cases more than one "final battle" is just the way it should be, just the opposite of what I was arguing in the forum yesterday
Smart thinking there Fiur to regroup when he was out of castles, hope we can try out dragons cape one day when I finally can get some time to play again!!

The Rat who wanted to be an Bull
Well this is'nt an War game but I don't wanna make an whole new tread so I put it in here....
Last day I had a game against both Insatiable/ The Teacher on the map Rat Race...
but how do we play (or more like how do we reg. our games) when we play 3 players....
The rules are pretty simple...
Lets say player 1 and 2 is the first in battle.... the one who wins that battle "stay" in game.... We reload the save from before that battle... and then player who won that battle continues against the last player... (in that way the vinner can't take the losers artifacts)
Okay back to the game...
we all go random...
Insatiable got Telsek (Stronghold)
The Teacher got Maeve (Haven)
I got Raven (Necropolis)
(for those who does'nt know the map there is several "mini" quest around the map.... like who is the first to take lvl.6 dwellings, abba. mines, lvl.7 dwellings and so on...)
the game was very intence (and for those who think it's hard to choose skills against 1 player.... well try to play against 2!
we played for several hours and amazingly without an single d/c !!
In the begining Telesk played as an "beast" and was the first one to complete the first 2 "mini" quests... ( I guess flaming ballista did the work)
me on the other hand got Raven and wanted nasty destructive spells but no luck..
Not sure what Maeve (aka. the teacher) did but I guess "she" struggled a bit from the begining to...
I realize that I got no chance in this "rat race" what so ever... but so freakin fun to play anyway...
well in week 5 I saw to great champions in the middle area:
The battle last for about 40 min or so....
result:
Orcs vs Haven
1 day later it was my turn:
Orcs vs Necro
What can poor Raven do against such a beast..
so that Rat really become an BULL!!!
this game was so fun... (total playing time with all included 6h:32m not bad...
teacher and I bow to the new champion...

just wanted to add that reason of telsek being overpowered at end was week of triple growth - income (barb town strength is unit based + town produce more critts than others + cheaper)
.. dont want to make wrong impression that orcs rule the map, i lost 3/3 games being barb vs teacher

Yet another great game on Rat Race (3 players)
The Teacher, Valkyrica and fiur
Match setup:
The Teacher as Narxes (Academy) Valkyrica as Ylthin (Sylvan)
fiur as Sinitar (Dungeon)
We had a few d/c but we'll manage to overcome that fuzz
and as always we all enjoyed the game very much....
Narxes was the first to break thru the "Evil" Garrison (and fiur a few days after)
for myself (fiur) I had an hard call... near the end... cause I could reach Narxes (who at that point ad not that great army)... But my downside was mana... only 38 mana left... (but bigger army than Narxes... hmmm what do I do??? well I let him go maybe because I'm a kind person or maybe because I'm stupid??)
So I just hit all "boost" on the Island... and 2-3 days later the Jugdement day arrive...
in the middle I got both Narxes and Ylthin waiting for an final battle who do I gonna attack.... I choose Ylthin... :
Sinitar
Battle between Ylthin/Sinitar:
Replay
Battle between Narxes/Sinitar:
Replay
All in all.. to play this map like 1-1-1 is MAX fun you guys should try it....

Another nice game, tho its the perfect candidate and supporter for the memory mentor's reason of existence, an example of how NOT to build an hero , but, sometimes, offers upon leveling up are not matching your desire and plan:
but , with all that, im still against the mentor, i like that ramdom lucky factor.
till the next time...

the blood-stained battle field....
Last day I was so lucky to be an competitor in another great 3-ways action on the map Rat Race...
Set up:
The Teacher: Kragh (Stronghold)
Valkyrica: Wyngaal (the gay) (Sylvan)
Fiur: Karli (another gay) (Fortress)
another games who went without problems (well almost.. Valky had one d/c, and even myself... once when I tried to clean my keyboard in the middle of the game yeah smart ass move I know)
Wyngaal was the first to break through the "Evil" garrison" and close behind (almost in his footsteps follows Kragh...)
Karli was a bit drunk in that time so he could'nt move as fast so he needed another week to get through the "Evil" one...
and another reason why he was so damn slow is that on his way home the week before jugdement day he came across an strange situation... (the week of Pit Fiends) and some of the "Pits" tried to play "hide ans seek"
So Karli just had to sit in tavern and tell EVERY body about that tiny little creature who did'nt wanted to battle.. (and ofc.. to do that he needed alots of beers... (burps)
Then a scout enter the tavern and informed Karli that atleast 2 powerful heroes has been spotted in the middle area (and his advice was go to war... drunk or not!) and "go to war" he did (Karli) ehh more like riding but what a hek..
Karli used his underground passage on his way to the battlefield...
(mainly because of his hangover....)
and because his mammoth knew the way by himself...
So at day 6 in the first week, second month Karli stood in the middle of the Blood-stained snowy field... and did'nt got any clues what so ever.... (who should'nt I attack??!!)
Karli:
nah... he did'nt manage to make up his mind so he just skipped the whole attack move... and let the other two Warriors decide who going to battle whom....
so next day Kargh rides his bull towards Karlis mammoth and Cries "Grab your axe... I'm challenging you"
Karli: "mumble" a little.... (does anyone dare to say no to an Barbarian filled with rage....) so Karli shouts "Grab your axe yourself you drunken bum....." (on second thoughts... thats what I could tell my self... cause I'm not anything else than an drunken bum)
Battlefield:
Replay:
Kragh vs Karli
well the battle was a great one both Kragh and Karli agree but Cyclops was just to strong this time....
Kragh moved on to "face" another challenger....(Named Wyngaal...)
Result from that battle well take this:
Kragh vs Wyngaal
Thats how The Teacher become an Lord congrats Teacher!!

Our TOH Bard in full force - keep going, Fiur
After watching replays I believe that both Karli and Wynghaal should have won Kragh... H5 is so exciting
Btw, probability for goblins to fail spell completely in that situation was miserably low haaa

I have played that game in such a horrible manner that I'm ashamed of ever starting a new game again.
That happens when you have to wake up in 4 hrs and you're that stubborn and you won't save !
Think i made like 15 mistakes that battle (not even counting the choice of upgrade for druids).

Isle of Traders
well this weekend fraudatio, Kispagat,pera.the.kojot and I decided to play this map 2 vs.2 allied...
and we all played random here is the setup:
Kispagat:
pera.the.kojot: (yellow)
fraudatio:
fiur:
as you all know this is an team game so it's a matter of give and take...
for some more like give than take...
my team mate (fraudatio) struggles alot but then again not so bad cause fiur step into the market and send away resoucres and gold.... ehh lots of gold like an real trader should do...
(the match setup was like this.... : Kisp gonna battle fraud, pera gonna battle me...) so if fraud gonna make any battle against Kisp I really needed to help him out... (and that feels great too..)
to help en former Emperor...
the key thing on this map is that enemie portals opens up at day 25... and on that day Kispagat shows up on fraudatio's doorsteps... at that time fraudatio's had no money nor army.... so... yes the trader steps in and SHARE.... (anything to help an fella clan mate! (I sent away all my money + alot of mercury and crystal...
so now atleast Ingvar could face Haggash with an decent army...
Haggash in the other hand did'nt stay for long... went straight thru the portal to the middle Island and did what and real Orcs do....
Battle and slaughtering....
Poor little Ingvar followes in her footsteps... to face the "Day of Judgment" so after 8 hour playing time and at day 27 this is it:
tiny little Ingvar manage to make some fuzz but still Haggash power was indisputable .....
Kispagat vs fraudatio
so now... it all depends on what Deirdre (aka. fiur) could do...
all alone against 2 mighty fearless rage maniacs....
I gather my troops and went into Kraghs Island and at day 33 (and 10h14min) "Day of Judgment part two" to come:
pera vs fiur
again an hard battle... but Deirdre's spell comes handy and seems like Kragh was'nt prepared at all... but he manage to block all my fallen creatures from "raise dead" smart move indeed!!
after that battle Deirdre got now time for rest.... had to face the Mighy "girlpower" right away... (just got 1 day to restore mana and switch some artifacts collected from Kragh....
so final "Day of Judgment part 3":
Kispagat vs fiur
if any battles can be called an real slaughtering this is the one...
Epilog:
first of all it was an real nice experience to play as a team...
main key is to share and do it well.... (if your "Mate" struggles you must give a hand (or your whole arm) if needed....
so after this game I got an good feeling when it comes to play like an "team mate"......
but after all my effort I must bite the dust and can't achieve nothing more/else than honor.... (but then again) thats what this game is all about.... honor
and to all competitors thank you for this game it was sure fun!!
and exiting! (cause we all played this map "blind") we only looked at the pdf file thats all....
fiur.....

Fiur, Fraudatio and brother in the horde, Pera, thanx for the game!
It was fun.
I think it was decisive that Ingwar had bad day, he gave his skin relatively cheaply, and on the other hand Kragh's sacrifice made final very easy.

Bah, close this post
Yeah, well, some days you wake up, and feel that not all the defenders in the world is gonna help you - it wasnt such a day, and it still went like an ice bolt in lava. psssssst.
Even with the best first aid the oil-stained economy of Norway can offer, given with gentleness and care, i barely managed to breath without gurgling sounds from my throat.
The next player to tease this (for now) paralyzed bull into action will face a vengeful opponent. Kispagat, I am coming for you!
PS - The playability of an allied game was beyound my expectations, i had never tried it and it was indeed great. The downside was the time (12 hs plus, and then we rushed the end), and the fact that i completely messed up the game for the best side. Us. Thumbs up for another good map from Zilo and co aswell!
