You can download the one I made (9 zones, one castle per faction and a bigger neutral zone that has to be crossed to get to another area) here. It's for L maps, for XL maps I'd suggest you edit the neutral zone:
tried it and it's fun! Lots of treasure in the neutral zone - who gets there first has the advantage.
One question: When creating the random map, your template can be chosen all the time - regardless what mapsize is entered, so its possible to use it from S to Impossible, not only on L.
Was this intended?

Glad you liked it. It was intentional. Depending on the value I highlighted in my previous post, the neutral stacks and the treasures are larger relatively to the size of the map. With the same value you'll get smaller stacks in an XL map, that's why I pointed out that you could alter that number to make it more fun.
As for being the first in the middle it's not that easy if you use Magnomagus's AI MOD.

Each map is different thanks to the random mechanic.
anyway, you'll see!
Any clue as to when the mod will be finished?

ohhhh...very simple:
either before patch 3.1 or afterwards
but more precisely,
it is in the end of its development
(version 1.1)

thanks, Cleave!
Do you know what XDB-parameter I have to set to make your template available ONLY for L maps generation.
E.g. if generating a random L map with *random* template setting, yours should be able to appear for build.
If setting "Huge" size with *random* template, yours should not be chosen for building map.

I do - and it's very challenging! Had some grrrrreat fights against AI in the neutral zone.

Hello!
Thank you Cottilion
for your interest for this project
and for waiting of its release.
At present, I'm creating a pack containing the 43 NCF creatures (all-in-one)
NCF creatures do not have existing description in 2 languages (French and English)
Without counting the many spelling mistakes in their descriptions!
As RTMG is able to put NCF Creature in random maps,
I responsabilise my-self, that only one pack contains all NCF Creatures at the same time.
I thus translate names and descriptions of the NCF creatures to obtain 1 French pack and 1 English pack.
When RTMG will be ready, it will be also possible to download NCF Creatures pack in the desired language.
RTMG is practically ready, it's only a question of few weeks.
Time to finishing interfaces, to make some final balancing tests
and to create the installation package.

News concerning RTMG's development
Hello,
In this Saturday May 10, 2008, I felt the importance to make a report concerning RTMG's development.
Then, here,
NCF Creatures Pack
The creation of the French and English Packs "all-in-one" including the 43 NCF Creatures,
their names and descriptions in these two respective languages, is finished.
Downloading of these Packs will be possible at the same time as that of RTMG.
Add NCF Creatures with RTMG
You must click « Add NCF Creature » button in « AdvMap » tab to reach
the window concerning NCF Creatures.
In this window, you will be able to check NCF Creatures which you want
that RTMG adds in random maps.
You will be able to also check « My H5 game uses NCF Pack and I want to use all NCF Creatures »
if, indeed, you use « NCF Creatures Pack » and that you want to use all NCF Creatures.
RTMG will add in random maps only NCF Creatures which will be checked in the list of this window.
List of NCF Creatures contained in « NCF Creatures Pack »
They have all their name and their description in English (or French)

Other RTMG's developments
The RTMG is in good process of finalization. As you can guess, it's an enormous work.
It is full with small pieces which must be assembled in only one large piece.
Therefore, I turn over to work... with Soon!

If you feel the need to add a German version, please contact me. Either I will do the necessary work or I'll delegate the work to a trustworthy person of drachenwald.net .
Good Luck for you project, I'm looking forward to it, since I read your first introduction (and I check the thread at AC at least once a day, although I don't understand French).

That is good for nothing to provide a download link hastily.
If one of the moderators of this site personnaly wants evidence concerning the RTMG,
Anytime, he can communicate with me in a private message.
By then, when I want it, I will give news concerning my project.

News concerning RTMG's development
Dwellings for all neutral creatures!
Ya,
RTMG does not cease developing.
Of course, that causes to move away its public coming out date.
But, I think that this time is very important in order
to send a program having a higher level of quality.
I thus thank all those which have the kindness to wait patiently until
this very hard work is completed.
For now, I will make share, here, of some points of the project.
New interface for AdvMap Tab
With an aim of returning the handling of the RTMG's treatments
simpler and more convivial to receive various new functionalities,
the interface of AdvMap Tab was worked over again:
We can see there, also, 4 new buttons (H5, H5NCF, ED, EDNCF)
allowing an rapid access with various .exe of the HeroesV Game
by starting them directly starting from RTMG.
Neutral Creatures Dwellings (RTMG MOD)
YES!!!
An exclusive MOD of RTMG will allow to add more than 52 new objects:
Dwellings for all the neutral creatures, including NCF Creatures.
It will be thus possible in the maps treated by the RTMG,
to recruit neutral creatures.
In « Add New Objects » window, it will be enough to check
« I have the RTMG's Neutral Creatures Dwellings Mod »
so that RTMG adds of such object in the map.
Here some images speaking by themselves:
Images from map treated by RTMG
Therefore, each neutral creature will have its own dwelling.
Ex: Water Conflux, Fire Conflux, etc
Random Maps with Water!!!
RTMG has an engine making it possible to convert human maps
into maps created by HeroesV's RMG.
Thus, all maps created by the human ones having rivers and oceans
can be transformed into maps with impression that they were generated
by a random creator.
So, a pack of more than 15 RTMG style maps with water converted to leave
original human maps collected from sites will be also available.
In short,
In addition to what the RTMG does already:
52 new objects: Dwellings of the neutral creatures
and
Random Maps with navigation
See ya!!!

I just don't understand why you use Phoenix dwelling as a dwelling for Enchanter?
And what does ED stand for?

Quote: I just don't understand why you use Phoenix dwelling as a dwelling for Enchanter?
The phoenix dwelling don't exist "officially"...
This object uses "Crystal Mana" model...
(It's Tampani, the first time, who used this strategy to create a dwelling for pheonix)
Same thing to me, for Enchanter for this picture...
In fact, all dwellings could use this model!!!
The Neutral Dwelling Mod is not finish...
So, models used for dwelling will be change...
Ex: Mommy Dwelling use the "TombOfTheWarrior" Model
Quote: And what does ED stand for?
ED means Editor
ED button will start "H5_MapEditor.exe"
ED NCF button will start "H5_MapEditor.NCF.exe"

Hi,
Quote: is it possible to make a template that is balanced for a 2 vs 2
No.
the H5 RMG's Template mechanic, with xml file, does not allow to config alliance mode.
If you want to transform a random map to alliance mode, you must to modify this map in the editor.
And I warn you: the editor may bug when you adjust team into.
Quote: is it possible to add mana wells with a template?
No.
the H5 RMG's Template mechanic, with xml file, does not allow to add this object in random maps.
A lot of "cool" objects are not added in random maps.
It's why I created RTMG.
RTMG adds all objects that templates doesn't add
So, RTMG adds mana wells
