By the way, is this town screen of Sobor is outdated and will not be in HotA?

All this Forge concepts made by the HotA crew are under the title "Heroes III Forge Town" instead of "Horn of the Abyss".
This raises my question:
Is it planned to release Forge Town as "HotA 2.0" or as spin-off / separate Add-On?

AFAIK it's planned to be in HotA 2.0. But it's still possible for other towns to be included there instead of Forge.

Other towns from DF2 don't have ever working screens. So if no Forge, than all have to wait for 1-4 year for next towns.
Cause HotA claims to draw all units by them, so other towns don't even have 1-2 creatures at all.

Closed forums exist to depict activities.
But on DF2 we can see dates of last posts in closed forums, and most of them are dead for long time.

Some of new projects don't need any closed subforums, just IM. The best example is Stanford, which closed subforum is officially not used since 2010, yet in the meantime Rusha prepared some great townscreen concepts. There's one of the finest:

I don't like stooped lineup of this town. Blue lions and goose warriors look stoopid and non-Heroes. So hobbits on first level do.
And colour of town is brown like snow.
And two dwellings for diff. creatures look almost identically.
What you mean "not free to use"? It will cost money?

Yeah. Rusha made this 100% by his own AFAIK, so remaking it without his permission would be equal to violating the copyrights.
Somehow I knew that you wouldn't like this town at all. Maybe I shouldn't say anything about "not free" stuff and you'd be more pleased with it.

i personally find the picture of the town to be rather breathtaking
the main complaints i would pose would be that in some areas it seems a little /too/ open, if that makes sense, and parts of it seems to be a rehash of the old Stronghold town (perhaps combined with the Castle town), not that the latter is necessarily a bad thing
if remaking it is going to be violating any copyright laws, then it would definitely be best to avoid it, i just wanted to state my opinion on the picture itself due to it looking so nice to me :3

Altrough when modder talks about author copyrights violation and "not allow to use or modify", it looks terribly wrong and erroneous.
Stanford is new Requizit?
Who allowed author to modify Heroes 3 at all and add something to it?
If he wants to do something DRMed and not allowed to use/VCMI/etc, why he is using Heroes 3 3D0/Ubisoft property?
It's not fair - it's like thief stealed Da Vinci drawing and hired police to guard it.

Since when does Stanford's townscreen use anything from Heroes 3? For me it looks like 100% original work. And, as far as I know Rusha, it IS 100% original work.
So yes, it definitely can be copyrighted and your comparision to thief is rather out of place.
