It still so.
I don't like when someone changes something in canonic parts of HMM3.
And this is the case. 3rd upgrades are cool, for example, but changing of standard things proved by years - is a heresy.
When something new is added- it's good. When something classic is changed it's a headache.

It's the same "change of canonic parts" as it's in case of Sir Mullich - just a new hero playable on particular maps instead of old one. The difference here is that while Lord Haart was a pretty nice character and Sir Mullich is OP, Voy was useless on many maps and Kirkenia isn't that awesome - she just gains exp a little bit faster.

Well, I can see Macron1's point, actually. I can agree with both sides, though, in their own ways.
In many of the games that I've played, I've found myself forced to use a lesser hero in the start of the game, and sometimes these hero stick with me because I had them from the start.
The point is, a lot of the useless stuff in the game adds dynamic in its own way. It's also part of learning the game for new players. Like, attacking creatures for a useless artifacts. That's a mistake you can learn from. Or you just might get unlucky and get a lesser random artifacts when visiting a crept.
For comparative and more serious play, I can see why you might want to remove such randomness as a useless hero. But I don't think a Heroes game will ever be as clean-cut like, say, Counter Strike. Randomness is a big part of heroes, but I'm excited to see all the changes HotA will bring.
I do also see the attractiveness of fixing these things. It's a tough balance.

You can always stop following HotA to avoid more headaches, you know - almost every mod change something of the game, one way or another.

The point is no hero is removed. It's just a new one which will be playable on most maps instead of the old one, even though the old one is not removed at all - like Lord Haart the knight e.g.

Seriously though - you're trying to defend something that will not be removed at all. HotA isn't removing anything. What's the point of your defence? Just to attack HotA Crew? Seriously?

hey, buddy, come on, you're not dealing with Ubisoft out here. This is not the new up and coming, all for profit Heroes game.
it's just a fan mod. it will not ruin your life. To download, or not to download. whatever. not defend classic gameplay, for you. not download, for you. End of story.
Some of us are looking forward to it. Que Sera, Sera.
Why not, stop coming in here like a broken record every time and dampening our high spirits, if all you have to complain about is you think it's heresy.

Tark the Nix
Does anybody know if Tark (The Nix Skirmisher) will be an available hero in the upcoming 1.3? I really like his specialty, along with armor and attack as secondary skills. Right now, I am using Korkes as my main Cove hero. Not bad.

Probably it'll be the same as with other special heroes - only if you select him in map editor.

Maybe the fact that most of the core elements consisting in a Heroes game are gone. I'm not going to develop here because off topic =)
