Since Wolverine could dodge the Thing forever (agility and reflexes remain at the same level they had been prior to his transformation) then the question boils down to "Can adamantine cut the Thing". In the comics, since nothing's ever cut the Thing and nothing has withstood Wolverine's claws (except Captain America's shield), it would be impossible to pick a winner. I say "inconclusive"

When I saw The Thing being posted by people on this page, I thought you meant The Thing from another World or John Carpenters version of The Thing (1980's remake).
I'm going to vote for The Thing this time.

I haven't eheard about thing before so hard to decide but maybe FoG got it right, it depends on if wolverine can cut the thing.

I think Wolverine.
His claws technically can cut anything but like... realistically... he's going to have a hard time cutting up The Thing, but it will be enough.
Add to regeneration and he will win, after a long and very close fight.
The Thing has two things going for him: his strength (he punches you, you'll probably stay punched  ... wolverine's strength is dwarfed), and his skin.
If The Thing manages to pin down wolverine, however....
man this one is close
I still say Wolverine. He's badass.

Announcing a new aspect of "Who would win?"
Under special circumstances (my simple mind cannot come up with an interesting fight ) and there are no suggestions or exhibition matches, I will be introducing new HALL OF FAME fights.
These fights can only take place between current winners (two winners or possibly one if there are other challengers for this contestant).
Any contestant who wins a HALL OF FAME fight joins the Battle Royale HALL OF FAME and will be commemorated in the first post in an honorable fashion.

Hehe missed the last one, but the outcome never really was in question. The wolverine would win. Not only could 'Thing' never actually land a punch, if he did wolverine would just regenerate. Thanks to regeneration Wolverine could technically fight forever, eventually the Thing would wear down. Since his claws can cut 'anything' it would be over. The wolverine wins.

What about Azumi?
This girl can wipe out an entire army. (Here)
She can dodge arrows if the distance is 6 feet or more.
And she doesn't have any "superpowers" (we all know how cheap Superman gets it).
I think it would be fair if you put her up to battle with a non-superpower person, like e.g Aragorn (he won at another round).
Yeah I know there are a lot of samurai movies out there but this is the one I watched

1) Azumi was one of those movies actually somehow available to see in me country... And then, only through MTV...
2) I don't like the thing... So my vote goes to wolf-boy

Cool, I'll have a look.
I haven't heard of her before though.
And it might be easier if people HCM me the suggestions instead of posting them here because then it clutters the thread and takes the focus away from the current fight
And Mytical, the Wolverine/Thing fight is still on so your vote counts.
It will be over soon, though, both fighters look weary

Oh, and a tie is a good end for tis fight, because the Thing can't hit Wolverine and Wolverine can't hurt the Thing... so people get bored and Chuck Norris comes to KO both of them with one roundhouse kick.

I say McCain.
Obama had a pretty tough upbringing but McCain was a soldier and was also tortured for five years and is (was?) also somewhat of a badass.
(For the record, I'm aware an seventy-year-old man cannot really fight a forty-year-old man, yes. )
