races to factions contest
If any of the elders of this forum would like to sit as judges, why not have a new factions contest?
But this time, instead of thinking cocepts and factions, we take one mystical/fantasy race, and try to build entire faction around it.
I.E: ent/trent faction (chosen completly by random, I swear)
I don't know - sapling, treehearder, evergreen ent, sekvoy ent, bushling, roothburrower, dryad. This is not a serious attempt, this is just rough idea of where I'm going with this.
Of course, I say again, this is just a sugestion, and I don't presume to be a contest judge, I'm merely trowing ideas.

I'm not sure I got your meaning.
Having a new faction contest, where all the entries focus on one race? Something like the old Weekly Faction Contest?

Something like DopyG had done with vampires (just noticed the tread).
And the whole point is to do it for fun.

To seperate it from the weekly faction contest it needs a spin...what if you give us a creature and a setting, and say that we can't use the creature in that setting? Eg, "Elf" and "Forest" or "Orc" and "Plains" or something? See what peeps come up with.

Yes please. It will be much faster and funnier for me to create factions i will use in my ideas then and i want revenge... mvhahahah!

Wow it's been a long time
if emilsn is online that'll be great I wanna tell him that I play WoW too. But I'm no 70.Hopefully he'll be on soon I've got a lot of Wrath Of The Lich King Spoilers for him.

No but the alpha has been leaked and there a lots of leaked videos and screenshots and leaked info about it.
Blizard asks like all fan-sites to stop leaking more info.
People on exploit sites try to create there own server so they can explore the new lands in the expansion.

So, are we going? Who wants to be judge?
And, daystar, great idea, but let's alternate, once setting and forbiden race, once race and forbiden setting.
So what shall we begin with? I nominate ent/treant based faction (since it was the one I came up with by random  ), and, as for forbiding, temperate forests setting.

Hmm, I'm not sure if you are allowed to forbid trees from a forest...but it's interesting. Perhaps we should shelve that and come back to it a bit further in the competition. Go for something easier now and then come back to your hard one later.

When do we start and a treants faction without tree terrain seems to hard for the first round. Take something easy in the begining.

No matter the case, I'm always in for a Faction Competition. And I think you'll find this type of contest right up my starsystem.

I never said anything about treant faction without trees. I said not temperate climate forests. There are still jungles, rainforests and tundras... And, anyway, you are right, it migt be a bit too hard.
Howsabout polar regions faction, without yetis?
And, whenever we find some people to be judges.
