Actually its more like attack vs. deffence. The first increase your damage, the second decrease the damage you suffer.
So in both cases i prefer the first one - attack and in this case bless.
Thas because when you fight against the map you do the battles in such way, that you avoid all beating of your units. So in a way it doesent matter what dmg the enemy creatures could do you.
You take rettaliation and than hit with full army. Or you shoot with archers.
So bless will be much more efficient.
The only way when curse could be good is if you go to griffin conservatorie without slow/blind. And in some other very rare cases.

Indeed, depending on situation, but expert curse causes all enemy units to inflict 80% of their normal minimum damage -1 in combat.
So, curse is stronger against top units
Anyway, depending on situation

It depends what town u play and what town your opponent.
Some towns don't benefit much when blessed, coz damage range is low...

so again it is the same....example:your using shooters, would you bless shooters or would you curse the enemy-for me it doesnt matter.all waht matters is what kind of curse or bless it is.

It depends on your stats.
Sometimes if your fefense is not that high or if your oponent has a very high attack power, then Mass Curse may not make a difference as much.
Mass Bless can make a hugh difference with maximum damage, including luck for the best damage. Morale for more damage.
Plus some of the specialties some of the creatures can give you.
Bless can always make the difference if you got the time to cast it.
Even those pesty Goblins can be tough to defend when they can hit the max.
Picture the pikes hitting like a lv 3 creature or a high lv 2 every turn.

Conflux bennefits the most from mass bless and castle bennefits the least. (if my memory serves me well since I calculated it like 4 years ago) BUT, that depends on how you look at it. There are several ways to do it. I calculated the increase as a percentage for all 7 creatures for every town. I took the 7 percentages from each town and averaged them.

IIRC the "80% of minimum damage" was not implemented; the funtionality of curse mirrors that of bless 100%.

Bless for clearing, Curse for fighting an opponent's hero. Unless the hero is Thorgrim... Can't refute the power of expert blind/berzzerk/sacrifice... Fire and Stronghold do well, since all of your units have poor Def. Really difficult decision...

In most situations, bless. But if im playing necro, the last thing I want in my mage guild is bless.

Bless is not possible in Necropolis, just look in properties of this town in editor.

Never knew that...Its just that Ive had situations where my necro hero has somehow learned bless and since I dont keep track of where my spells come from...
And yes I know the undead cant be blessed. Thats why I said its the last spell I would want on an undead amry.

The problem of this two spells is that you are either forced by the enemy to cast a spell ( i.e he mass slowed you and you will cast mass haste etc.), or you give the enemy magical reign for the rest of the combat without casting the most profitabel spell.
Mass bless/curse is USEFUL, but rarely the MOST PROFITABLE spell.
